Much is explained in the 26 minute video, but I'll mention you may find the un-natural tuning more titillating. I'll leave it to you to find an adjective for the Verdi (natural) tuning.

I regret to say I do not speak Italian, but I have been led to believe the piece sung by the choir is familiar to Italians. Being so, perhaps you can better hear the difference between the tunings?
