It's been an honor. You guys have not only changed my way of thinking, you've probably made me a better and less-degenerate person than I otherwise would be.

For every long /nightshift/, for every intense dig, for every rally bread, for all the memes and chuckles, for every time you've been the only ones there through the long dark night, for every time we've held the line under attack by shills, for every time we've kept the last embers going when Q went dark, for every prayer and word of encouragement…thank you.

I sincerely do consider you guys to be my friends. More than you know. In a big and significant way that transcends needing to ever see your faces.

I have been sharing cigs and blunts and smoking people's butts throughout this whole pandemic. Tested negative. If this virus were an issue, I would know. But I played chicken with it and won.

Look. At WORST this thing seems to kill as many people / year as heart disease. Yes, that's a lot. But it isn't killing 5% of young healthy people. Which, yes, WOULD be much worse. Ir IS a different scenario when over 99% of people who die are elderly. And when the deayh rate is comparable to other modern killers, rather than particularly deadly like the black death or anything.

 

At some point at-risk people will just need to take precautions. You can't stop the world over this

 

The flu kills people every year. If everyone wore a mask all the time, I guess fewer people would die of the flew? But we don't do that. So we have already accepted that there is a cost to just living life. But maybe the costs of trying to eliminate those costs outweigh the costs themselves.

 

What are we gonna do if there's no cure? We gonna do this shit forever? Will we accept that? How awfully convenient for the authoritarian global elite that they can place everyone under house arrest by fiat. You gonna live in a pod? You gonna accept the whole world never starting back up because you're afraid?

 

I am fucking flabbergasted people accepted this. They gave up their FACES.

I wish pot were federally legal. I had to give it up so I could save lives. But I have spent plenty of nights here baked over the last few years. Not the most important thing in the world, but I will sincerely miss Mary Jane.
