COVID-19 Fraud from the front lines

Here's what's happening. Assisted Living Facility (ALF) resident tests positive (allegedly) for COVID. Resident is asymptomatic. ALF sends asymptomatic resident to hospital. Hospital is full but ALF refuses to take resident back. Resident is taken to a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF aka nursing home) where they get $800/day instead of $200/day because resident is COVID positive.

Do you see the scam?

ALF gets $3,000/month rent ($100/day) for resident….normally

SNF gets $0

COVID Fraud Scheme - ALF/SNF hospital? collude to share extra $700/day with each other PLUS they will do surprise medical billing of the beneficiary down-the-road because there was no medical necessity to be at the SNF so medicare doesn't cover it. They BILL THE RESIDENT THE SNF COST THAT ISN'T COVERED BY MEDICARE & GET $800/DAY COVID

EITHER IS FRAUD BECAUSE THERE WAS NO MEDICAL NECESSITY TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL!

The whole period-of-service for this transaction was messed up at the very beginning when the ALF transported the resident with no medical necessity.

WAKE UP ANONS - THIS IS HAPPENING ACROSS THE COUNTRY TO OUR ELDERLY LOVED ONES!

They are asymptomatic living in private apartments but instead of apartment being RED ZONE and quarrantined they are shipped to SNF where they share a room and bathroom and are stuck in a hospital bed!
