This is reportedly how the "wild type" bat coronavirus was found in the first place. Chinese researchers (I believe) visited caves where bats congregated and swabbed their anuses in order to detect new "viruses".

I guess I can see where this is going…literally. People lined up in droves to have swabs jammed into their skulls to within millimeters of CNS tissue. Now the DS wants to see how many people will line up to be anally swabbed. Disgusting.
