Scienceanon here. That crap that the media and politicians and government bureaucrats cite is not science or medicine. It is made up shit. Nobody can speak for 'science as a whole'. Scientist don't vote on theories. They are misled by fake theories as much as anyone else, sometimes spending their life on something later upturned by new evidence.
Want to know what real science is? It is believing nothing is true or false but only has different weights of evidence for or against it.
As soon as you totally believe in a man-made theory, you are setting yourself up to be an embarrassed, screwed-over idiot. That's how real science works.
The reason journalists and politicians like to say, "Expert scientists tell us that …. " Is because journalists and politicians have the lowest trust level by the public of any major profession. Scientists and medicine have the absolute highest trust. So, those worthless fuckers try to steal the trust for themselves by pretending their stupid nonsense came for "scientists and doctors".
