See, I don't get that argument of someone trying to save us from ourselves.
Why would a hypothetical civilization who was vastly more advanced care about us? Would a man worry about warring ant colonies? The earth is quite separate from the universe which honestly doesn't give two shits about us. To assume otherwise would be foolish arrogance.
