Something unusual occurred around 11:00 EST diverting TWO VIP flights mid-air…both were on different flight paths and then around 11:00 both diverted and haven't arrived at their new destinations, which are as yet, unk.
I watch VIP flights a lot, but rarely post on them. Found this interdasting.

No, that was probably Monkey. I'm a former commercial pilot who got into PF'n a few months ago. I watch all the 757's, G5s, and high level bizjets just to see where the meetings are happening and at what level. Jet size is a great proxy for VIP level. If I think it's security sensitive, I don't post it, but some stuff is just interesting…like this.
As an aside, it was interesting to note that a number of SAMs were inbound to JBA on a Friday vs outbound for the weekend, which I thought oddly unusual.

Overlaying the flightpaths onto IFR high altitude routes frequently used for flight planning, it does appear that both went on direct to routing at about the same time and not on the published routes they were using beforehand.
Not super out of the ordinary, but makes this more interdasting in context. Still have no idea what for.
