Anons, here is a theory that can be tested and either dashed or supported by evidence.
Theory is that within our governments, national, provincial, regional/municipal, there have been patriots who have seeded levers of freedom within the COVID policies, regulations, legislation , and possibly implementations.
Good example is the over-ticketing of innocent citizens exercising their charter rights and freedoms.
Another, the exemption clauses in mask mandates.
There are other examples such as can be found in government propaganda and in official reports of statistics.
These levers might be dismissed as errors that all Big Government machinations overlook because of incompetence and arrogance. On the other hand, these means of prying open our society and regaining liberties seem to be strategically placed, by whatever means and sources, and lay latent unless citizens use their discernment and conduct themselves effectively. For much of us this will be trial and error. But keep in mind that there may well be allies within the structure that is reigning over us today. Again, discernment.
As time passes this theory can be put to the test against reality as it unfolds. Will the future prove the theory?

So how to track the 'spread' and how then to slow it or stop it.

Ready-made scapegoats.
Why turn flu deaths and 'comorbidities' into count of COVID deaths.
Ready-made death toll as older people tend to die at higher rate than younger population, naturally.
Death of old age will never end, of course.
Know someone who knows someone who died, yet.
Most will, inevitablly, learn of a COVID death close to home.
Elderly being isolated from family and friends.
Can't witness treatment and demise.
Autopsies rare in longterm care.
Mandatory when die at home.
Compare with pre-COVID.
Flue treated differently.
Elderly treated differently.
School children treated differently.
Working age population treated differntly.
Public Health Officers treated differently.

I disagree with the premise that we know a lot about COVID-19, if that means we have knowledge drawn from PCR results.
SEROLOGY tests are based on PCR.
What can we really know about a virus that has not been isolated/purified? Which has no defintive symptom or set of symptoms that forms a cosnistent clinical diagnosis? Nothing much is known about this 'invisible enemy'.
On the other hand, the effects of the government restrictions are documented and the excess mortality that we are beinning to see now, is attributable to restrictions rather than this or that virus. But sorting it alloujt is going to be next to impossible. Means that the invisible enemy will fester forever.
The panel discussed the latter, not so much the virology re the restrictions. This is going to be the worse mess possible for all researchers. It all began with lousy policies surrounding PCR ITSELF.
The antibodies that may be produced after infection with SARS-CoV-2 will not necessarily protect you from getting sick again and it's not known how long they will remain in your body.
