Security Alert – U.S. Embassy and Consulates in Germany

The U.S. Embassy in Berlin advises U.S. citizens that due to an ongoing security situation, all Embassy personnel have been advised to avoid the area around the main Embassy Chancery building at Pariser Platz 2. U.S. citizens are urged to avoid the immediate vicinity of the Embassy until further notice. U.S. citizens in Berlin are urged to review personal security plans; remain aware of their surroundings, including both planned and spontaneous local events; and monitor local news and media stations for situational updates.
