A handyman accused of fatally shooting a woman who worked in construction was later run over by her boyfriend in an alleged act of revenge at a New York City construction site Wednesday, according to a video.

The video obtained by WABC showed Lizbeth Mass, 52, being gunned down on a Bronx sidewalk allegedly by her jealous lover, Jose Everaldo Reyes, during her lunch break at a construction site in City Island.

Mass was allegedly shot six times by Reyes, 66, in broad daylight, CBS New York reported. As Mass’s body lay lifeless on the sidewalk, Reyes walked back toward his bicycle and placed his gun into his waistband.

Seconds later, Mass’s boyfriend takes his Hyundai Sonata and rams his car into the alleged murderer, sending him and his bicycle flying.

Reyes struggles to get to his feet, holding onto a “Detour” sign for balance. But within seconds, the car hits him again — without a driver this time — in reverse.

The video then showed the incensed boyfriend push Reyes into the hood of his vehicle and punched him repeatedly.

The beating continued for 30 seconds until officials and bystanders flocked to the scene.

Reyes, who remains in the hospital as of Friday night, faces charges of second-degree murder, criminal use of a firearm, criminal possession of a weapon, and manslaughter, the New York Post reported.

The boyfriend was not charged for allegedly attacking Reyes.

A lawyer representing journalists detained or allegedly mistreated while covering protests for racial justice in Minnesota over the last several weeks says an Asian American CNN producer was thrown to the ground by police and asked if she spoke English.

Carolyn Sung was reportedly arrested April 13 while covering demonstrations in Hennepin County following the police shooting of 20-year-old Daunte Wright, an incident that came during the trial of Derek Chauvin, a former Minneapolis police officer accused of murdering George Floyd last year.

Sung was attempting to comply with a dispersal order when Minnesota State Police grabbed her "by her backpack, threw her to the ground, zip-typing her hands behind her back," according to her lawyer, Leita Walker.

Sung did not resist, the lawyer said, adding that one of the troopers allegedly yelled "do you speak English?" at her during her detainment.

Walker made the allegations in a letter to Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) and other local officials sent over the weekend. Walker is representing several other journalists who she says have been mistreated by police while covering the civil unrest in Minnesota.

Once taken to the country jail, Sung was "patted down and searched by a female officer who put her hands down Sung's pants and in her bra, fingerprinted, electronically body-scanned, and ordered to strip and put on an orange uniform before attorneys working on her behalf were able to locate her and secure her release, a process that took more than two hours," Walker's letter states.

Walz said on Saturday that he respects journalists' right to cover protests freely without fear of arrest or intimidation.

"A free press is foundational to our democracy. Reporters worked tirelessly during this tumultuous year to keep Minnesotans informed," he said in a tweet. "I convened a meeting today with media and law enforcement to determine a better path forward to protect the journalists covering civil unrest."

In a separate tweet, Walz said he had "directed our law enforcement partners to make changes that will help ensure journalists do not face barriers to doing their jobs."

News of Sung's alleged treatment was met with widespread condemnation from journalists at CNN and elsewhere across the media and political landscape over the weekend.

Authorities near Houston, Texas are investigating a horrifying and deadly crash scene involving what deputies believe was a driverless Tesla on auto-pilot that sparked a raging four hour fire, killing two people inside.

Deputies say that a fully-electric 2019 Tesla Model S, worth about $80,000, was traveling along a curve at a high rate of speed before crashing into a tree at around 11:25 p.m. Saturday night in the Carlton Woods subdivision near The Woodlands.

Officials believe the Tesla may have been operating on auto-pilot, noting that one of the individuals was found in the passenger seat while the other was found in the back seat.

According to KPRC 2, the brother-in-law of one of the victims said the men were taking the car out for a spin, and that the driver was seen backing out of the driveway and may have hopped in the back seat before the crash.

A sheriff's department spokesperson said the vehicle immediately burst into flames following the crash, and that local firefighters worked for four hours to put out the blaze, which required 32,000 gallons of water to extinguish. At one point, responding deputies had to call Tesla at one point to ask them how to put out the fire in the battery, which kept reigniting.

Officials are still reportedly investigating whether the front passenger air bag deployed and whether the vehicle's advanced driver-assistance system was enabled at the time of the crash and will conduct autopsies on the two men.
