The federal government says businesses can mandate that employees get vaccinated against COVID-19 to enter their workplace, and offer incentives for receiving the vaccine.

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission released updated guidance Friday explaining that vaccine mandates do not generally violate equal employment regulations.

"The federal EEO laws do not prevent an employer from requiring all employees physically entering the workplace to be vaccinated for COVID-19, subject to the reasonable accommodation provisions of Title VII and the ADA and other EEO considerations discussed below," the agency said. "These principles apply if an employee gets the vaccine in the community or from the employer."

The EEOC also affirmed companies who offer incentives for employees who get vaccinated, although the agency cautioned against "substantial" incentives.

According to the city, elevated levels of a toxin produced by cyanobacteria, also known as blue-green algae, have been detected in the raw water samples collected from the East Lobe of Clear Lake and the finished water at the treatment plant that supplies water to West Palm Beach, Palm Beach and South Palm Beach.

Boiling the water will not destroy toxins and may increase the toxin levels, the city said in a release.

The following vulnerable populations should not drink the tap water, because they may be vulnerable to the effects of cylindrospermopsin:

Infants,

Young children under the age of six,

Pregnant women and nursing mothers,

Pets,

Those with pre-existing liver conditions,

Those receiving dialysis treatment, and

As a precautionary measure, the elderly and other sensitive populations should consider following these advisory instructions.

According to the city, all other individuals not considered to be vulnerable may drink the water.

GENEVA - Medics concerned about the effects on public health of environmental degradation marched Saturday on the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva, demanding health authorities make climate change and biodiversity loss their top priorities.

White-clad activists from the group Doctors for Extinction Rebellion marched from Geneva's Place des Nations to WHO headquarters where they were met by Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreysus, and Maria Neira, director of environment, climate change and health.

"The pandemic will end, but there is no vaccine for climate change," Tedros said as he welcomed the activists outside the building. "We have to act now, in solidarity, to prevent and prepare before it is too late."

Professor Valerie D'Acremont, an infectious disease specialist and co-founder of Doctors For Extinction Rebellion, called on the WHO "to be the driving force and guarantor of public policies that respect the health of all and preserve life."

Richard Burt, a managing partner at McLarty Associates and a former US ambassador to Germany during the Reagan administration, ponied up $4,000 for Joe Biden in October 2020 and dropped another $10,000 in the lefty-aligned political action committee Unite The County in March 2020, FEC records show.

In addition to violating Biden’s own campaign pledge not to take lobbyist cash, the money from Burt is particularly noteworthy as he is currently directly engaged in lobbying activities for Nord Stream 2 AG.

The DNC said they had returned the cash on Thursday after The Post’s inquiry.

“Reading between the lines you can clearly see what that lobbying looks like,” Anna Massoglia, an Investigative Researcher at the Center for Responsive Politics told The Post. “While it’s not evidence of anything illegal. It’s just something that is evidence of how influence works in Washington.”

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and Hezbollah coordinated with Hamas on the recent fighting in Gaza between Palestinian terrorists and Israel, according to the editor-in-chief of a Lebanese daily affiliated with Hezbollah.

Ibrahim Al-Amine, editor of the pro-Hezbollah Lebanese daily Al-Akhbar, told Hezbollah’s Al-Manar network over the weekend that during the 11-days of fighting in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip, officers from the IRGC, Hamas and Hezbollah set up a joint military operations center in Beirut.

The commander of the IRGC’s overseas Quds Force, Esmail Ghaani, visited the operations center twice during the military hostilities, according to Al-Amine.

The newspaper editor claimed Hezbollah sent weapons and ammunition to Gaza and “moved a number of Palestinian resistance officers out of the Strip during the aggression,” according to Al-Manar.

Palestinian factions were also provided with data on the movements of Israeli forces, Al-Amine asserted, asserting drones were used to prevent Israel from springing an “ambush” on terror operatives along the border.

He also said if Israel “expanded its aggression, the entire axis of resistance would have confronted it,” referring to Iran and its regional proxies.

(Bloomberg) – Shenzhen’s Yantian Port will continue to limit part of its port operation in an effort to curtail an outbreak of Covid-19.The port will now delay accepting heavy export containers until May 30, it said in a notice, after initially suspending such operations until May 27. Heavy import containers and empty containers are being processed as normal, the port said.

The container yard of the city’s major port has been clogged after five coronavirus cases were found recently. Local government said in a notice on Friday it will conduct mass testing of the entire population of the Yantian district.
