I haven't considered the possibility that it was an act of deception.

I left out the fact that the dealership ened up closing.

They were selling cocaine out of the service department.

They were using the cars to traffic the cocaine out of detroit.

The fact that they were trying to manipulate me is highly plausible.

It is quite possible that i am forgetting that someone they knew had been to my house as well.

In fact, i was good friends with one of the fellow salesmen who was close to them.

I need to rethink the last 20 or so years.

That story has stuck with me and impacted my decisions.

I didnt find out till much later that they were moving drugs.

I was friends with the service manager.

Ran into him several years later.

Went out to the bars.

He told me everything.

How they were having certain drivers to pick up specific cars.

They would get 3 or 4 at a time.

Throw dealer tags on them.

Drive them in a line at speed limit.

Usually older white guys who had no idea what they were doing.

They pick the cars up like they have for other dealers

Toss tags on back

Get on interstate.

Set cruise at spd limit.

No worries.

No threats.

Expensee the fuel to the business.

Used GM minority program to fund their operation.

They got busted.

Shut down.

Owner/deacon shot.

Blind in one eye.

Honestly, i took it for drunk talk.

I didnt have reasons not to believe him.

I just didnt put much wieght in it.

I often think about that conversation.

Told it many a times.

Never considered the charachter of the source.

The sincerity was legit.

I had no reason to suspect they were trying to manipulate me.

I have never had much.

Never asked for help.

I had nothing to offer.

If the story relayed is accurate

I can only guestimate that they would have been trying to earn my trust to possibly use me as a fall guy???

Im racking my memory

I cant seem to think of anything other than that that would cause them to seek to decieve me.
