If nothing has happened by 2020 it will be because people like you were too complacent to reclaim government of the people, by the people, for the people. How long will it take for people to reclaim their government? A very long time so long as people like you sit around whining about why others aren't doing things instead of doing something yourself. There is no quick fix. Or do you think that an authoritarian, top down government can be replaced by use of authoritarian measures? How is it possible to use that which you wish to replace to replace that which you wish replaced?

Quit whining and start red-pilling family, friends, colleagures - the world.

I can tell you what it's like to have pusillanimous May-be for a PM - embarrassing in the extreme. I look at our US cousins with not a little envy when I watch Trump actually stand up for God and country; when he puts Americans first and understands that a government's primary role is national security, then economic security, and only after that to offer a safe haven to genuine immigrants and asylum seekers. All May does is dither and compromise. She either lacks principles or is too timid to admit she has any, and embraces political correctness as though it were the passport to good governance. The woman is a lackey, not a leader, with the mentality of a desk-bound bureaucrat, too long in the job to show any initiative and capable only of tinkering with pens and shuffling paper. May is to Trump as a mouse is to an elephant - insignificant.
