With NK part of a zone of free trade with South Korea, goods can move by rail from SK to Russia. Pipelines too.

With a rail link across Russia to Alaska thrown in, that would create a huge shift, taking the EU out of many equations in terms of transport routes.

Sea transport needs would reduce massively. The Pacific and Atlantic reduced. Panama and Suez canal reduced. Oil/gas can go to China from Russia and the US.
