IF Hoover Dam fails catastrophically, then Davis and Parker dams will fail as well, and the entire Colorado River watershed from the Las Vegas area down to the Mexican border (and beyond) is in danger.

The Bureau of reclamation is well aware of the importance of Hoover Dam, and they keep careful watch on the dam and its "head" (load of water weight based on water level behind dam).

I was in DoE/BoR when water was allowed to flow over the bypass to maintain integrity of Hoover Dam. It's a critical element to a three-state area plus Mexico, and good people are [were] working to maintain structural integrity.

Rio Grande water flow is NOT controlled by Hoover Dam. Slide much?

Teach your students that, regardless of which groups with which they relate, they are and will always remain INDIVIDUALS.

NO groups exist without individual members.

The INDIVIDUAL is the primary unit of a republic. PLEASE make that clear to your students.

It's simple logic:

A republic exists to defend the rights of the minority against the tyranny of the majority. The smallest minority is a minority on one, a single individual.

The smallest group which can exist consists of a single individual. Most definitions of group include more than one individual.

Logic dictates that collectivism is malarkey.
