Homeschooling is a great option if the parents can and want to do it. Great thinkers with great minds should offer every kind of instruction possible: traditional schools, online, tutoring, etc. As in any free-market - with competition and innovation, the cream will rise to the top.

I hear you. The private schools are heavily infected too, although they are much better than the public schools by-and-large.
