If you read the O.T., God explains, painstakingly, how he gave His word to men to write it down. He goes through it in great detail, if you recall.

God can communicate with man through the Holy Spirit (God's essence). He communicated with men in the O.T. while the Spirit was placed upon them for the time that He needed to communicate with them. It was temporary only.

Now, in the Administration of Grace, after you are born again of Holy Spirit, God can communicate with you through the Spirit. He can give you word of Wisdom and word of Knowledge. He can stop you from getting killed for example, like he stopped me from getting t-boned by a speeding car that passed a red light just as I was starting to cross the intersection and He told me to STOP! That saved my life!

In the N.T. God explains that ALL Scripture is God Breathed - Theopnuestos....

God's word is PROFITABLE for:

Doctrine - instruction in right living

Reproof - letting us know when we are off the Word; reproving us,

Correction - tells us how to correct our wrong understanding/application of His Word,

And all these are for:

Instruction in righteousness - instruction in right living.

BTW - What a coincidence that all the Epistles are actually ordered in the same manner, i.e. Doctrine, Reproof, Correction - and the pattern repeats itself.

For example, Romans is Doctrinal, Corinthians is Reproof, Galations is Correction, then Ephesians is Doctrine, and so on.

You will only learn to trust God and His Truth by testing it.

Find a promise in God's word and apply it in your own life.

Everytime someone has done that, they have ended up believing in God and His True Word.

If you, YOU, don't believe it, that doesn't make it false.

Also, the other way around. I can read it and just say (book knowledge) that I believe it.

However, if I actually apply it in my day to day life and it NEVER let's me down, and I continue to live my life that way year after year after year….

Well, at some point I have to say, Okay, God, I trust in you and your Word!

That's how I am where I am.

I didn't just blindly trust it. I applied it. I worked it, and proved it to be true.

This takes time!

That's just it, God doesn't want you to just accept it wholesale. He wants you to be workmen of the Word, rightly dividing the word of truth!

Don't just accept it from what others are telling you about it, including me, including any "theologin", just read it for yourself.

You can also always pray before you read. Pray and ask God to open the eyes of your understanding! The Word will pop out at you and you will be blown away by how easily you understand it! It helps to get involved in a small, home-based Christian (non-denominational) Bible based fellowship.

Read Romans 10:9 and 10 - if you are wanting to get born again / saved. These verses explain how. It is in believing and confessing, that is all.

Okay, there are what's called "orientalisms" in the Word.

When you read something you always have to take into account: 1.) To whom it is addressed, 2.) When it was written, the age and time.

One of the orientalisms during the lands and times of the Bible, that people in the time of Abraham would understand is the orientalism that deals with plurality.

When someone refers to someone (one person/entity) in the plural form, it is a form of praise, reverance, divinity.

Actually, this custom is still practiced today - just ask someone who is from the Persian culture. When welcoming someone or addressing someone they often use the plural form to give reverance/respect to that person.

God was referring only to Himself here - Let us make man in our image…

What is the image of God? Holy Spirit.

When God first created man, he intended man to have Holy Spirit. So God created man in three ways - body (formed from the earth); soul (our breath life; God breathed soul life into Adam and he became a living soul; and Spirit (God's image or essence)….

John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

When God told Adam, you will surely die, what died in Adam after disobeying God was his Spirit. He lost the Spirit part of him, he lost his connection with God. When you become born again of Holy Spirit (by doing what is written in Romans 10:9&10) you gain that Spirit nature back, but this time, for us in this Administration of Grace, it is no longer conditional - we can never lose it!!!
