It always makes me smile when people selectively wheel out a bible quote to make their point and bestow upon themselves the appearance of wisdom and the illusion of moral authority. Why not trot out Leviticus 19 “if a son disrespects his father he should be brought before the town elders and stoned to death” or any of the pro violence verses littered throughout the “good” book?
Just pick and choose the passages from your bible that suit your perspective, ignore those that don’t and impose your interpretation on others – that’s exactly why it was provided for your consideration in the first place.
Your argument would make more sense if you didn’t refer to a mind control device that celebrates and glorifies retribution.

I dearly hope the transition is peaceful but I also realise that those still committing atrocities have been given multiple invitations to change their behaviour and have chosen not to do so. There is no ideal solution to this dilemma and I don’t pretend to know any better than any one else.
