Something oddball about it to me. Like, what’s the point. And them what’s the real point.
I started looking at abandonment of patents/applications. Seems to be non-payment, mostly. You can formally request to withdraw/abandon, too.

I went to the wayback machine, and the most recent capture for that url was On February 9, 2019, and has an entry from the day prior, Feb 8, 2019 “Application status is Abandoned legal-status Critical” (with that hyphen and thos caps).
(Also including a cap of a previous wayback machine capture, there’s no other changes in others regarding the relevant dates)
So, was it abandoned in February, and then, if we had checked yesterday or the day before, it would have had that day’s date, or did something actually happen today?
