Deltas occur with written correspondence that contains a built-in timestamp. I'm not aware of any delta being verbal.
tbf, it's easy enough to assume that he selected the name because it sounds cool & edgy. I personally wouldn't ascribe to him the mental faculties necessary to select the name based on its definition.
