Food and water for two weeks(at least) for all people in your household, it wouldn't hurt to pack some extra in case you find some pedes without shelter near you or in case friends are found nearby etc.

Honestly you should have some way of protecting yourself, a firearm is best but not all pedes subscribe to that ideology but may in the future.

You can survive on cold canned food but obviously any food that requires cooking is going to need energy to heat it. If any of the food that you do stock needs energy to actually cook you're either going to have to stock something or get creative.

Obtaining prescription medicine can become a pain in specific scenarios, if possible please stock extra prescription medication for anyone that requires it within your household. You can ask or have your pede ask their doctor about this in advance. If necessary ask about getting an advanced prescription since they're (you're) traveling to another country. It may work.

Stocking basic medical supplies isn't a bad idea. If possible you should stock enough medical supplies for each person in your group to have some sort of major medical event. This was honestly pulled out of my ass but its better to have and not need than need and not have in that scenario.
