I'm in a similar situation with my wife. Basically I just try to keep a lid on it, and we avoid political topics. One thing I try to do is point out instances of obvious propaganda and misinformation in the media, academia, etc. I mostly focus on seemingly non political things like the multi-decade misinformation campaign backing the lipid hypothesis, but the basic idea I try to push for is that we should be questioning everything we read and hear.

This is also helped by the fact that we don't have television in our household.

I've been working to get her turned off regarding social media, and that's certainly been helped by events that have transpired in recent years. She still checks Facebook occasionally, but that's about it.
