Pakistan: Muslim Employers Accused of Raping, Killing Christian Boy for Demanding Salary

A ten-year-old Christian boy in Pakistan was allegedly raped, tortured, and killed by his Muslim employers at a dangerous scrap metal factory for demanding full pay to help support his mother, brother, and drug-addict father, a media outlet reported over the weekend.

The U.S. government has designated Pakistan a “Country of Particular Concern (CPC)” for engaging and tolerating “particularly severe religious freedom violations, meaning those that are systematic, ongoing, and egregious” against Christians and other minorities. On Saturday, the Pakistan Christian Post reported:

Mohammad Akram and Irfan, nicknamed Kalo, were both arrested in Sarghoda on the 14th July, for the murder of Badil Shahzad, from the village of Rasheedabad in Essa Nagri, Faisalabad. A post-mortem conducted on the corpse of Badil while at the Allied hospital revealed that he had been subjected to a sustained ferocious attack to the head and had received multiple injuries over his body. Moon has been traumatized following his brother’s death and hasn’t left his house since and often screams in terror thinking the men responsible will take him too. Badil was pronounced dead on July 11 after he succumbed to injuries sustained the previous day.

Mehwish Bhatti, the national executive for the British Asian Christian Association (BACA), reportedly declared: Badil lived a life of poverty and has been killed simply for working [too] hard and asking for [a] just reward. His tormentors and exploiters knew he was a Christian and used that to treat Badil as they wanted, but his vulnerability in life will be his strength in heaven, as this church-attending young child always retained his love for Christ gaining him entry to heaven. The evil men who beat this young child must be brought to justice so that they cannot deliver their evil actions on any more innocent children. Juliet Chowdhry, a BACA trustee, added:

That child labour still exists, is immensely profuse and is so brutal is a blight on the reputation of Pakistan. Employers for decades have exploited young children in Pakistan – none more so than Christian children who are targeted as they live in the most impoverished and isolated communities.

The Pakistani constitution prohibits child labor, but breaches of the law are ignored and penalized lightly in the rare chance of prosecution, the Pakistan Christian Post reported, adding: Badil, the son of a drug addict Shahzad Masih (42 yrs) took a job working for Mr. Akram at his scrap metal dealership for 100 rupees [63 U.S. cents] a day … to help with his family meet their daily living demands. Mr. Masih became a burden on the family finances trying to feed his drug habit as the boys’ mother, Sharifa Bibi (40 yrs) was working as a maid earning only 3500 Pak rupees ($22) per month.

Two days before his death, the boy came home later than usual with only half of his wage, infuriating his mother who scolded the child and allegedly urged him to quit his job and focus on his education instead. The boy’s brother reportedly witnessed the factory’s Muslim employers attack Badil on July 10 but did not intervene out of fear for his safety.

Iran Claims ‘Invisible’ Long Range Drones on Indian Ocean Patrols, Tracking U.S. Ships

Iran is equipped with sophisticated, long range intercontinental drones now being used to monitor U.S. shipping in the Indian Ocean, Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi claimed on Tuesday. “We have this type of drone and we will certainly use them if necessary. These drones are being used in the vast region of the Indian Ocean now,” Rear Admiral Khanzadi said in an interview with the Persian-language service of YJC as reported by local FARS newsagency. Khanzadi claimed Iran’s intercontinental drones are part of its naval forces and Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) weaponry, used to monitor shipping in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman as well as the Indian Ocean.

He warned Iran’s “enemies” the Islamic republic’s Iranian naval forces and drones “stay invisible in some other parts,” before adding “The enemy should wait to be surprised from where he can’t see us.” “We observe all enemy ships, particularly (those of) America, point-by-point from their origin until the moment they enter the region,” Khanzadi said, according to Reuters. “We have complete images and a large archive of the daily and moment-by-moment traffic of the coalition forces and America.”

Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh said Iran had made “major advances in designing and manufacturing different state-of-the-art drones.” “We are even ahead of the top world powers in the drones sector and we are way ahead of them,” he said. Neither men offered any evidence to support their claims of superior Iranian drone technology, although in the past the country has been exposed trying to copy U.S. military advances in the area.

Iran claimed in 2014 it had has fully replicated and reverse-engineered a Lockheed Martin RQ-170 Sentinel unmanned spy plane. The UAV was downed in 2011 while it was surveilling Iran’s nuclear and military sites, as Breitbart News reported. Experts noted copying the external part of the drone would have been the easy part, but successfully replicating the UAV’s systems would have proven to be a much more difficult task. “They surely have copied it externally. Now, copying the internal systems is a whole another story,” said David Cenciotti, who runs the blog The Aviationist. The Lockheed Martin RQ-170 Sentinel operates exclusively for the Central Intelligence Agency and the United States Air Force. Its overall specifications remain classified.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez challenger once supported Obama

A 38-year-old Queens woman seeking the GOP line to run against Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is under fire from fellow Republicans for previously praising the Democratic socialist superstar as well as voting for Barack Obama for president. Scherie Murray, a Jamaican-born woman who grew up in Queens and founded a TV production and advertising company, told The Post she voted for Obama, a Democrat, in both the 2008 and 2012 elections. She said it was because “as a young African American woman” she “was inspired by the first African American president’s message of change.”

Murray also crossed party lines in June 2018 to hail Ocasio-Cortez on social media after the eventual congresswoman upset 10-term incumbent and longtime Queens power broker Joe Crowley in a primary. “Congratulations Alexandria,” she then tweeted. “#Queens is headed in a new direction and It’s time for new leadership. #Yes.” Now, a little over a year later, she’s vying for Ocasio-Cortez’s seat representing the state’s 14th District that encompasses parts of Queens and the Bronx. While kicking off her campaign on Wednesday, Murray even released a scathing video accusing the left-wing media darling of “self-promotion over service.”

Some Republican pols say Murray would be a poor choice considering she’s a former Democrat who currently lives outside the district in Laurelton, Queens, switched parties a decade ago and has a history of backing Democrats. “AOC is a socialist carpetbagger and since Scherie Murray voted for Obama, praised AOC after she won and doesn’t live in the district, it seems like they are two peas in a pod,” said Elizabeth English, a Republican district leader in the Bronx. “How can Republicans trust either of them? We deserve better.” However, Murray says she’s a loyal Republican who plans on backing Donald Trump for re-election to the White House.

“I voted for President Trump in 2016 and support him today,” she said. “He’s delivered on his promises.” She also said she was once “hopeful” for the future of the 14th District after Ocasio-Cortez defeated Crowley — but no more. “She took on a political machine and won,” Murray said. “I was happy Joe Crowley lost, but since then I have been disappointed and disheartened… She’s only been focused on her own celebrity and a politics of division and hate. “That’s why I’m running for Congress. I’m not another ideologue who is focused on tweets and socialist agendas. I want to unite the fight to help people build bridges to a better life and live their own American dream.” Murray also said she plans to move into the district if she wins the congressional seat, as is required by law.

She joins four other Republicans — former cop John Cummings, journalist Ruth Papazian, construction contractor Miguel Hernandez and businessman Antoine Tucker — who have filed to run for the seat. So far, no Democrats have announced a primary challenge to Ocasio-Cortez.

Said GOP candidate Ruth Papazian, “It’s great more women are entering politics, especially on the Republican side, but I care more about a candidate’s policies than about gender or race. “I could never send Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez a congratulatory tweet. My community has no doubt about where I stand: Ocasio-Cortez is a media darling whose socialist policies would bankrupt the middle class. I am running to give people in my district a voice in Congress again. I am from here, for here.”

Hollywood publicist Peggy Siegal losing clients over Jeffrey Epstein ties

Hollywood is running closing credits on publicist Peggy Siegal, citing her ties to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. No fewer than three movie or television clients have fired Siegal for her role in raising the profile of the convicted child sex trafficker, according to a story in Monday’s Variety.

The trade publication identified the clients as Netflix, FX Network and Annapurna Pictures, claiming all three dismissed the aggressive publicist after other press accounts detailed her role in getting Epstein into “splashy premieres and parties.” Those accounts reported that Siegal let Epstein pay for her travel as she orchestrated his invites to A-list events.

Siegal’s access-providing efforts mostly occurred after Epstein got out of the Palm Beach County jail in 2009, after having served 13 months for soliciting prostitution from a minor. Outrage over Epstein’s sweet prison deal boiled last month after he was charged with sex trafficking by the Manhattan US Attorney. Siegal has claimed ignorance of Epstein’s past. “Over the years I invited him to attend a handful of my events,” Siegal said in a statement to The Post. “I did not know at the time — and did not learn until recently — that he had been abusing underage girls.” “Had I known that he had been accused of abusing underage girls, I would not have maintained a friendship with him. I am horrified as each of these women come forward and the accusations mount,” she said.“Had I known that he had been accused of abusing underage girls, I would not have maintained a friendship with him. I am horrified as each of these women come forward and the accusations mount,” “Had I known that he had been accused of abusing underage girls, I would not have maintained a friendship with him. I am horrified as each of these women come forward and the accusations mount,” she said. FX also stripped Siegal’s company of its assignment for promotional duties and tastemaker events, the trade pub continued. A third assignment taken from Siegal was tied to the Aug. 12 New York premiere of Annapurna’s “Where’d You Go, Bernadette.”'''
