Center for Self Governance is deeply disturbed by the dangers caused by labeling groups and individuals 'domestic terrorists, extremists, rightwing, white supremacists' without due process.
Examples include the targeting of: President Trump, VP Mike Pence, his wife, Karen, Justice Brett Kavanagh, Congressmen Scalise & King, WA State Rep. Matt Shea, Candace Owens, Andy Ngo, Nick Sandman, Jack Philips, and countless others.
The weaponization of these labels have deadly consequences (e.g. 2016 death of LaVoy Finicum). He was repeatedly labeled by U.S. media as a “domestic terrorist, white supremacist, right-wing militia member,” and he was surveilled and killed by Federal & Oregon State law enforcement – this reprehensible deed completed without a warrant or due process.
