Bill Bader, a peach farmer from Missouri, sued chemical firms for crop damage
He claimed weedkiller dicamba drifted from neighboring farms on to his own
Neighboring farms had bought seeds that were resistant to the weedkiller meaning their plants survived, but his were 'irreparably damaged'
Jury awarded $250m in punitive damages, on top of $15m in compensation
