No, no it's not. It's called Moore's Law.

However my point was that the decrease in compute cost should positively effect (uptick) creative discovery. Therefore, at minimum, since anon f'd up because his question uses an exclusive "or". But the two reasons for discovery increasing are NOT mutually exclusive. There's no reason they can't both be true. So the only "or' connector that can be used is the Inclusive "or".

You catch my drift.

Further, I haven't seen any news out of the US patent office that suggest there's been a large jump in patent filings. It's readily checkable, but no sauce. Also patent filings don't always lead to anything. So it's only generally correlated anyway.
