>>8223944 On Christine Maxwell and Chiliad.

FTA: Chiliad says it has chosen to partner with companies that already provide best-of-class electronic publishing tools. Among Chiliad's technical partners are Sovereign Hill, for its InQuery and Infilter search tools, and Xerox, for Docushare, its collaborative, modular authoring software. Maxwell described the Chiliad tool set as unique in its integration as well as innovation of new author-interactive elements. The tools consist of a Chiliad/Knowledge Server, an Inquery-based search engine, Chiliad profile function and authoring tools, a revenue-generating function, tracking function, secure copyright protection and secure payment functions, Euritis for secure payment and tracking functionality, and Datamark for image-protection software. Maxwell indicated that other key elements would follow in the second quarter of 1998.

>>8224395 Moar on Chilead.

Looked through USAspending.gov. No contracts for Chilead, Inc. However Chilead Publishing is a different matter. $24.1 Million in Govt. Contracts for all FYs. Haven't found a rock solid connection except for The Amazing Polly reference, but what are the odds that both of these companies would operate out of Herndon VA (outside DC and home to many govt. contractors)?

Even Moar on Paul McOwen, Chilead and a couple of new names to dig. Involves MIT and taking what they develop to market…go figure.

Also includes info re: airline passenger information on 250 Million flyers stored permanently.

A thought during coffee refill: If Chilead had/has gov't. contracts for search-ware (assuming OCR) it would be possible for them to program mis-spellings into the final document and 'hide' them.
