Mexican Government Freezes Nearly 2000 Cartel Bank Accounts
Mexicoâs government targeted nearly 2,000 bank accounts linked to one of the nationâs most violent cartels, Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generacion (CJNG).
Known as âBlue Agave,â the operation sought to freeze 1,939 bank accounts by Mexicoâs Financial Intelligence Unit (UIF), a news release revealed. Over several months, the UIF, led by Santiago Nieto, went through thousands of unusual transactions and identified 1,770 individuals, 167 companies, and two trust funds all linked to the CJNG.
The CJNG is considered one of Mexicoâs most violent and is linked to the use of improvised explosive devices and hiring Colombian terrorists. Under the leadership of Nemesio âEl Menchoâ Oseguera, the CJNGâs turf wars throughout the country are leading to a dramatic spike in violence.
Authorities analyzed thousands of transactions and transfers to identify the individuals behind the funneling of suspected cartel funds. It remains unclear how much was seized.
More than 40,000 financial operations that were flagged as either âunusualâ or relevant during the probes. Those operations had an estimated value of $14 billion pesos or $700 million USD. Mexican authorities also analyzed more than 8,424 international money transfers with a value of $7 billion pesos or $350 million USD. Mexican authorities also combed through 2,102 reports of cash transfers worth $2,955,000 USD and 6,507 interbank transfers worth $33 million USD.

Houston Police Chief tells President Trump to 'keep your mouth shutâ amid turmoil sparked by death of George Floyd
The Houston Chief of Police has no interest in commentary from President Trump, who recently threatened to use the military as a means to quell unrest sparked by the in-custody death of George Floyd last week.
âOn behalf of the police chiefs in this country, if you donât have anything constructive to say, keep your mouth shut,â Chief Art Acevedo told CNNâs Christiane Amanpour.
âBecause youâre putting men and women in their early 20s at risk,â he added. âItâs not about dominating, itâs about winning hearts and minds. And letâs be clear, we do not want people to confuse kindness with weakness, but we do not want ignorance to ruin what weâve got here in Houston.â
Acevedoâs remarks are in response to President Trumpâs warning to governorâs earlier this week, demanding they put an end to violence and looting in their cities following the death of 46-year-old Floyd as well as other instances of racism and police brutality.
Video leaked online, which shows Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin kneeling on Floydâs neck, has triggered eight straight days of protests across America and in some nations beyond. While many demonstrations have been peaceful, there have been repeated instances of looting, rioting and violence in several major cities, prompting the president to issue his stern call to local leadership.
âYouâve got to arrest people, you have to track people, you have to put them in jail for 10 years and youâll never see this stuff again,â said Trump. âWeâre doing it in Washington, D.C. Weâre going to do something that people havenât seen before.â
Acevedo acknowledged that while the current climate does not necessarily lend itself to silence, keeping quiet beyond constructive criticism and advice is among âthe basic tenets of leadership.â
âWe need leadership now more than ever. And it hurts me to no end because whether we vote for someone or we donât vote for someone, itâs still our president, but itâs time to be presidential and not try to be like youâre on âThe Apprentice,'â he continued.
âThis is not Hollywood, this is real life, and real lives are at risk.â

Illinois man accused of passing out explosives and urging demonstrators to âriotâ at George Floyd protests arrested
An Illinois man has been arrested after allegedly recording himself at a protest over the death of George Floyd as he passed out explosives and encouraged demonstrators to riot.
Matthew Lee Rupert, 28, faces a slew of charges including civil disorder, possession of unregistered explosives and participating in and organizing riots in Minneapolis, where 46-year-old Floyd was killed by a police officer on Memorial Day.
Video of the deadly confrontation released online a day later sparked unrest in the Twin Cities and quickly inspired protests nationwide. According to a criminal complaint, Rupert attended such a demonstration in Minneapolis on Friday with the intention of sowing discord.
In a Facebook post written ahead of the event, Rupert wrote: âIâm going to Minneapolis tomorrow who coming only goons Iâm renting hotel rooms.â A day later, he shared a cellphone video of himself online that shows him giving out explosive devices to people and then urging participants to chuck them at law enforcement.
He can also be seen damaging property, engaging in arson and looting several businesses, according to the complaint.
âIn the video, Rupert passes out explosives he indicates he possessed, encourages others to throw his explosives at law enforcement officers, actively damages property, appears to light a building on fire and loots businesses in Minneapolis,â the complaint says.
âAt time stamp 5:11 Rupert stated, âwe came to riot.'"
Rupert, on Saturday in another Facebook post, said he intended to travel to Chicago and continue looting. He posted additional videos himself on Sunday in the Windy City, where he was arrested later the same day for violating an emergency curfew.
During his arrest, officers discovered several destructive devices, including a hammer, a heavy-duty flashlight and cash in his vehicle, officials said.
Rupert appeared Monday for a hearing in federal court in Chicago, where a judge ordered him transferred to Minnesota to face his charges, according to the Star Tribune.

Twitter Says It Wonât Censor All Misinformation, Only Tweets with âthe Highest Potential Harmâ
Social media giant Twitter recently claimed that itâs not attempting to take down all misinformation on the platform, only that with âthe highest potential for harm.â Breitbart News has documented numerous examples of misinformation that did not receive a âfact checkâ by Twitter, as well as for threats of violence that remained on the platform for extended periods.
Business Insider reports that social media giant Twitter has clarified its new policies on misinformation in a series of tweets, noting that the firm isnât focused on flagging all misinformation on the platform but instead focusing on posts with the âhighest potential for harm.â

Delingpole: Britain Unleashes a Green New Deal to Kill Whatâs Left of the Economy
UK Chancellor Rishi Sunak has found an ingenious scheme to ensure that Britain never recovers from the economic damage caused by the lockdown: a âgreen industrial revolution.â
According to The Times of London:
Rishi Sunak is planning a âgreen industrial revolutionâ to help to create jobs for people who are made redundant because of the pandemic.
The chancellor is preparing to bolster the governmentâs investment in clean energy as part of an economic stimulus package next month. There could also be a fund to help to âreskillâ workers so they can get green jobs in areas such as insulation upgrades, offshore wind and carbon capture.
The measures are understood to go significantly beyond the Conservativesâ manifesto commitment to create two million jobs in clean energy within the next decade. The Tories have promised to cut greenhouse gas emissions to ânet zeroâ by 2050.
A green industrial revolution is a bit like the original industrial revolution, except for one or two crucial differences: instead of boosting prosperity, creating jobs and stimulating economic growth, it does the exact opposite.
For example, a study by economics professor Dr Gabriel Calzada Alvarez of Madridâs University of Rey Juan Carlos found that for every âgreen jobâ created by the Spanish government, another 2.2 jobs were destroyed in the real economy.
Another study, this time in the UK, found that for every green job created by government âinvestmentâ in the renewables industry, 3.7 jobs were destroyed in the real economy.
Sunakâs plan to squander yet more taxpayersâ money on green, crony-capitalist boondoggles is depressing but not remotely surprising.
Dr John Constable, energy editor of the Global Warming Policy Foundation (GWPF), warned that this was going to happen in a short paper published last month âThe Fatal Attraction of a Post-Covid Green New Deal.â
Constable says that Net Zero â Britainâs answer to the Green New Deal â was âdeeply unwiseâ even before the economic collapse caused by the governmentâs response to the Chinese coronavirus.
But in the post-Covid-19 world we now inhabit â economies in a state of âdeep contractionâ, against a background of âhighly significant increases in geopolitical tensionâ â it is more foolish still.

Nancy Pelosi Admits to MSNBC: âMaybe They Didnât Have Tear Gasâ
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) admitted to MSNBCâs Morning Joe on Wednesday that authorities might not have used tear gas, after all, as the media and former Vice President Joe Biden had claimed earlier in the week.
âMaybe they didnât have tear gas, I donât know,â Pelosi said, describing the clearing of Lafayette Park on Monday.
On Monday afternoon, law enforcement cleared protesters â some of whom were violent â from the park, in front of the White House, shortly before President Donald Trump walked through the park to St. Johnâs Episcopal Church.
As Mollie Hemingway of The Federalist documented, the mainstream media ran with the story that Trump had used tear gas to clear the park for a âphoto-opâ in front of the church.
Biden made the same claim in a speech on Tuesday:
When peaceful protestors dispersed in order for a president, a president from the doorstep of the peopleâs house, the White House, using tear gas and flash grenades in order to stage a photo-op at one of the most historic churches in the country or at least in Washington, DC, we can be forgiven for believing the president is more interested in power than in principle.
However, the âtear gasâ claim was untrue.
The U.S. Park Police issued a statement Tuesday denying that it had used tear gas in clearing the park:
At approximately 6:33 pm, violent protestors on H Street NW began throwing projectiles including bricks, frozen water bottles and caustic liquids. The protestors also climbed onto a historic building at the north end of Lafayette Park that was destroyed by arson days prior. Intelligence had revealed calls for violence against the police, and officers found caches of glass bottles, baseball bats and metal poles hidden along the street.
âŚ
As many of the protestors became more combative, continued to throw projectiles, and attempted to grab officersâ weapons, officers then employed the use of smoke canisters and pepper balls. No tear gas was used by USPP officers or other assisting law enforcement partners to close the area at Lafayette Park.
Pelosi told MSNBC:
My daughter, Alexandra â filmmaker, journalist â was there that night, and she called me, and she said, âMom, you wouldnât believe it, these people were demonstrating peacefully, and all of a sudden this barrage of security came through, using clubs to beat people, and these explosive little bullets that explode into stuff that burns your eyes.â Maybe they didnât have tear gas, I donât know, but they had the elements of it. For peaceful demonstrators to make way, make way, for the president to walk through. What is this, a banana republic?
Protests erupted nationwide last week over the death of George Floyd, an African American man, at the hands of police in Minneapolis, Minnesota. However, the protests soon descended into arson, looting, and deadly violence in many cities, including the nationâs capital. St. Johnâs church was burned during riots on Sunday evening.
Washington, DC, was significantly quieter Monday and Tuesday evening, as the military restored order.

Three people are killed as PG&E helicopter hits 115,000-volt power line and crashes before bursting into flames north of San Francisco
A helicopter has crashed northeast of San Francisco, killing all three passengers on board, Solano County Sheriff's Office has said.
The Bell 206 chopper, which was carrying PG&E contractors, hit a 115,000-volt power line and burst into flames outside of Fairfield shortly after 1pm on Tuesday.
The contractors had been working on the high-voltage lines prior to the crash.
Fire from the helicopter sparked a seven-acre grass fire that caused smoke to billow across the skies for hours.
Three firefighters were reportedly injured while responding to the accident, when their water tanker overturned en route to the scene, KCRA Sacramento reported.
Some 38 ,000 PG&E customers in surrounding areas were affected by power outages caused by the crash, the Sheriff's office said.
The Federal Aviation Authority and the National Transportation Safety Board confirmed the incident Tuesday afternoon and are now conducting an investigation.
Officials did not provide the names of the three passengers who were on board .
The incident comes four months after basketball legend Kobe Bryant was killed in a helicopter crash alongside his daughter and seven others in Southern California.

Do you understand the message? âVOTE DEMOCRAT TO DESTROY THE COUNTRY, OR THEY WILL DESTROY THE COUNTRYâ
âDemocrats are trying to destroy America,â to rebirth a better one
This is quite true. Democrats are trying to change the principles that have shaped America since its beginning: principles of greed, of exploitation, of excessive consumption of resources, of honoring the wealthy and ignoring the poor.
Democrats would like to make our country a place where there is greater opportunity for people who have been oppressed or mistreated, and where our abundance is more evenly distributed.
Democrats want to make housing, food, education and health care available to everyone. They have a vision of an America that functions well, because when everyone has their basic needs met all can contribute to a healthy, prosperous nation.

Commentary: Antifa is the militant wing of the Democratic Party
After the Civil War, the Democratic Party developed a military wing. It was and still is called the Ku Klux Klan. As most terror organizations, it was formed to achieve a political outcome. At that time, its mission was to ensure that then-freed black slaves could not vote or exercise all the rights of citizenship.
Today, the military wing of the left is Antifa, short for âantifascist.â The name itself is in keeping with the radical left ploys by seizing control of the language and naming things incorrectly so as to mask the true mission.
If one compares the tactics used by Antifa at its various riots, vandalism, beatings and intimidations, there is no significant difference between them and the havoc wreaked by the Brown Shirts that hastened the rise of the Nazi Party in post-World War I Germany.

Australia enters recession for first time in 29 years
It's official: Australia has entered a recession for the first time in 29 years.
Treasurer Josh Frydenberg declared today he did not need to wait until the June quarter to admit the obvious.
Asked: "Is Australia in recession today?" Frydengberg said the answer was clear.
"Well, the answer to that is yes. And that is on the basis of the advice that I have from the Treasury Department about where the June quarter is expected to be," he said.
Panic buying by families as the coronavirus pandemic hit failed to save Australia from a technical recession.

Afghan Govt Sees âSignificant Drop in Violenceâ After Ceasefire
There has been a significant drop in the Talibanâs attacks since the group announced a ceasefire with the Afghan forces during the three days of Eid that were celebrated from Sunday, May 24 to Tuesday, May 26, Afghan security officials said.
Security sources within the Afghan government have said that before the Eid ceasefire, the Taliban were initiating almost 100 attacks daily across the nation, but now these attacks have been reduced to six minor attacks daily.
The ceasefire by the Taliban was intended to expedite the process of the prisoner swap between the two sides.
But other sources have said that sometimes the Taliban initiated around "30 attacks a day" after Eid.
A total of 5,000 Taliban prisoners released by the Afghan government and 1,000 security force members released by the Taliban was called for in the US-Taliban agreement signed in Doha at the end of February.
In an unexpected move, the Taliban on Saturday (May 22) announced a three-day ceasefire with the Afghan government on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
In response, President Ashraf Ghani on Saturday pledged to release 2,000 more Taliban prisoners, and to focus on furthering peace efforts.
Violence had dramatically increased in Afghanistan over the past few months since the US-Taliban peace deal was signed in Doha on February 29.
Taliban call for transparency in the prisoner swap process:
On Monday, the Taliban said that hundreds of prisoners released by the Afghan government werenât affiliated with the group.
âThe Taliban delegation, lead by Mawlawi Zia al-Din, is present, and this issue has become clear for them, because the released prisoners claimed there were people on the list who were criminal prisoners,â said Sayed Akbar Agha, a former Taliban commander.
In response, the Afghan government has said that technical teams from both sides are working to determine the identity of the inmates.
According to the Afghan security institutions, before the Eid, the Afghan force recorded 100 attacks by the Taliban in 22 provinces.
âThere are no movements across our zone, we are staying in active-defense position,â said Zabihullah Mohmand, the commander of 207 Zafar Army Corps.
The southern province of Helmand, once a major battlefield between the Afghan forces and the Taliban, is also experiencing a significant calm these days.
âAfter Eid, thank God, the situation is pretty good, there is no war and violence,â said Attaullah Afghan, the head of the Helmand provincial council.
While the Afghan government and the Taliban try to use the prisoner swap as an opportunity for confidence-building measures and intra-Afghan talks, there are concerns that the war victims are sidelined in the process.
The Afghan Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC) has called for the voice of the victims of war to be heard in any process.

Attorney Resigns From Use of Force Committee After Being Shot, Gassed by Denver Police
While police nationwide have been escalating violence against protesters, Denver law enforcement appear to be some of the worst offenders.
Elisabeth Epps, a Colorado-based attorney and bail activist, publicly resigned from the Denver Police Departmentâs Use of Force Committee last night after being shot and tear gassed by the same force she was trying to regulate. âPlenty of Black folks will shuck & jive for ya, it just canât be me anymore,â Epps said via Twitter, sharing pictures of the welts across her body and legs from police gunshots.
She had recently been on a conference call with the committee that included the local chief. Just hours later she saw in the flesh the police violate their own policies. âI canât even write the words to say how disheartening it was,â she said. Referring to the incident, she added, âIt doesnât matter whether itâs a fascist, or antifa, or a kid that throws a water bottle or a rock,â she said. âWhat in the world makes it proportional to gas an entire hillside of people?â
âI never felt like a token. I truly thought my input mattered. I was naive and I was wrongâ Epps told the Denver Postâs Elise Schmeltzer. Schmeltzer herself has been the target of violence, police firing pepper bullets at her while she was wearing a reflective vest that read âpress.â While police nationwide have been escalating the violence, Denver law enforcement appear to have been some of the worst offenders. Photographer Hyoung Chang, also of the Denver Post, was twice aimed and fired at by police, injuring his arm. Chang is adamant that the actions were deliberate: âIf it was one shot, I can say it was an accident,â he said. âIâm very sure it was the same guy twice. Iâm very sure he pointed at me.â Denver police also threw a reporter into a burning fire while he was trying to take a picture of them. The incident was caught on live television. Local officer Thomas McClay was fired from his job yesterday after sharing a photo of himself and other officers in full riot gear with the caption âLetâs start a riot.â

Here's What You Need to Know About The Pentagon's Riot Response and Martial Law
The Pentagon has ordered a small contingent of active-duty soldiers to alert status, on standby to join thousands of National Guard troops to help police quell civil unrest amid protest demonstrations across America. But the unprecedented situation is still a long way from martial law, legal experts say.
Currently, about 20,400 Guard troops have been activated in 28 states and the District of Columbia as demonstrators clash with police over the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man who died May 25 in police custody in Minneapolis.
The Pentagon ordered active-duty military police from the XVIII Airborne Corps at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, to the D.C. area to await a request to assist with the Guard response, but so far U.S. Army officials have remained tight-lipped about the deployment.
Army UH-60 Black Hawk and UH-72 Lakota helicopters flew low over crowds of protesters in D.C. on Monday night as demonstrations went past the ordered curfew, according to a Fox News report. On Tuesday, Pentagon officials referred questions about the helicopters to the D.C. National Guard.
This latest deployment of troops on U.S. soil follows the activation of about 42,000 Guard members since March in response to the COVID-19 pandemic â an extraordinary chain of events that has fueled fears on social media of the beginning of martial law in America.
"It's a horrible situation. The confluence of the virus and the racial incident â it created powder kegs and there is a lot of pent-up frustration all over the country," said William Banks, a professor emeritus at Syracuse University's College of Law and the author of "Soldiers on the Homefront: The Domestic Role of the American Military."
"What you need at a time like this is tremendous leadership on the part of state, local and national figures," he added.
President Donald Trump has taken a hard stance on the situation, threatening to use military force to stop rioters and expressing support for Arkansas Republican Sen. Tom Cotton's call for the enactment of the Insurrection Act, which would allow for the deployment of active-duty units in law enforcement roles if requested by a governor or state legislature.
While the rhetoric may be extreme, the use of military forces, so far, in no way resembles martial law, Pentagon spokesman Army Lt. Col. Chris Mitchell, told Military.com.
"We are not even close," he said. "The troops that are responding right now are currently National Guard troops. They are there in support of state and local governments."
Mitchell added, "Realistically, it's not something that the military would declare."

GOP leader backs Esper on opposing Insurrection Act
Senate Majority Whip John Thune (R-S.D.) on Wednesday threw his support behind Defense Secretary Mark Esper after the Pentagon chief said he opposes invoking the Insurrection Act of 1807 to deploy active U.S. military on American soil to quell protests.
âI think that these tasks ought to be relegated as much as possible to the state and local authorities, the law enforcement and police,â Thune told reporters Wednesday when asked about Esperâs opposition to President Trump possibly invoking the Insurrection Act.
âYou got national guard in the states they can activate. I know there are instances in the past where theyâve had to call up active-duty personnel but I think the goal always is to de-escalate, not escalate. So my view is thatâs the right call,â he added.
Thune said the U.S. military should maintain its longstanding tradition of staying nonpolitical.
âI think the Defense Department by and large ought to stay out of the political fray. Theyâve got a job to do and we count on them heavily to do it,â he said.
Esper said at a news conference earlier Wednesday that regular active-duty troops should not be used for domestic policing jobs.
"I've always believed and continue to believe that the National Guard is best suited for performing domestic support to civil authorities in these situations in support of local law enforcement," he said.
Media outlets reported earlier in the week that Trump was considering invoking the 213-year-old law to restore peace in cities wracked by social unrest, including riots and looting, over the police killing of George Floyd last week in Minneapolis.
The president announced Monday that he would mobilize âall available federal resources, civilian and military, to stop the rioting and looting, to end the destruction and arson and to protect the rights of law-abiding Americans, including your Second Amendment rights.â
Esper on Wednesday pushed back on Trumpâs consideration of the move, arguing that it should only be used as a âlast resort.â
âAs a former soldier and a former member of the National Guard, the option to use active-duty forces in a law enforcement role should only be used as a matter of last resort and only in the most urgent and dire of situations," he added. "We are not in one of those situations now. I do not support invoking the Insurrection Act."
Esper and Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, have come under criticism from former military leaders for appearing with Trump during a controversial photo op in front of St. Johnâs Episcopal Church on Monday.

Enraged Italians Abandon Masks, Denounce Pandemic As Scam
Meet the âorange vestsâ
Hundreds of Italian demonstrators gathered in Romeâs Piazza del Popolo on Tuesday, ditching their masks in a protest against the Italian governmentâs lockdown restrictions aimed at controlling the spread of COVID-19.
The group, which calls themselves the âOrange Vests,â is led by retired Carabinieri general Antonio Pappalardo, who doesnât believe children should be made to wear masks, according to TIME.
Refusing to wear a mask himself, Pappalardo said âThese lungs mine. I will take care of my lungs. Breathing is sacred.â
The people packing the square didnât adhere to social-distancing guidelines set by the government.
Pappalardo portrayed such containment measures as an infringement of freedom. Other speakers at the protest asserted that the pandemic âânever existedââ and alleged that politicians had played it up to enhance their own powers. âTIME
Elsewhere in Rome, opposition leaders, including League Party chief Matteo Salvini, marched on Tuesday to demand that the government resign.
Unveiling an Italian flag along the Via del Corso, Romeâs central artery, the gathering soon turned into a procession led by Salvini and two other party leaders: Giorgia Meloni of the right-wing Brothers of Italy, and Antonio Tajani, who co-founded former PM Silvio Berlusconiâs center-right Forza Italia, according to France24.
According to a Facebook post by Salvini, the march was âa symbolic gesture to make heard the voices of the citizens who do not give up.â
As Italy faces the worst recession since the war, the crisis could further bolster the far-right with the country scrambling to support businesses.
âThere is an immediate need for money for the Italians, yet we are promised the recovery fund in 2021,â Salvini told reporters, referring to the 750-billion-euro European recovery plan.
âThere can be no forgotten Italian workers,â he added.
He also expressed opposition to the governmentâs decision to temporarily allow illegal migrants to work on the land or as domestic helpers. âFrance24
Salvini was spared standing trial last week by a special committee over allegations of illegally detaining migrants at sea.

Moscow denies charges of complicity in protests in US, says ambassador in Washington
He said that "we wish to see order and peopleâs constitutional rights restored as fast as possible"
MOSCOW, June 3. /TASS/. Moscow denies the charges of alleged intervention in the United Statesâ internal affairs and of complicity in mass protests in that country, Russiaâs ambassador in Washington, Anatoly Antonov, said in the 60 Minutes program on Russiaâs Rossiya-1 federal television channel.
"Even in this situation, where the country has encountered such serious problems, some are trying to find a Russian connection and accuse Russia of intervention in the United Statesâ internal affairs. Allegedly we instigate what is happening here," he said.
US media, he remarked, keeps claiming Russia is behind the scenes and pulls the strings.
"This is utterly wrong. Everything that is happening in the United States is a result of the policy that has been conducted in the US in the field of inter-ethnic and inter-racial relations. It is an explosion of the contradictions that have been simmering for a very long time," he said.
The coronavirus pandemic and economic problems have merely added to the tensions. "In the country there are 40 million jobless, who are tired of the lockdown. The negative emotions are overflowing and spilling onto the streets," he said.
"I will say unequivocally that nobody is rejoicing. Everybody is watching with great regret what is happening in the United States," Antonov stated. "People are losing lives. We do see what attacks are being committed by the marauders and provocateurs, who never miss a chance to take advantage of peaceful demonstrations."
"It goes without saying that what is happening in the United States is fresh evidence of human rights violations and double standards. But I would not like to put the emphasis on this in a country where we, Russian diplomats, are doing our job. We are very much worried over the situation in the host country. We wish to see its recovery. We wish to see order and peopleâs constitutional rights restored as fast as possible. This would let us cooperate normally," Antonov said.

Live Updates: Minnesota to Boost Charges Against Policeman in Floyd's Death, Charge 3 Others
The death of black American George Floyd, 46, at the hands of a white policeman in the US city of Minneapolis last week has stoked anger nationwide, with violent mass protests and rioting continuing across the United States for seven straight nights.
Protests and riots have swept across the US, the UK, Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, and other countries as demonstrators are calling for justice and an end to racial inequality, with violence and looting breaking out in numerous cities.
On Wednesday evening, activists in Athens, Greece started marching towards the US Embassy protesting against racism in solidarity with the American protesters over George Floyd's death.
Various organisations, collectives, and common residents of Athens are marching to the US Embassy after gathering at Syntagma Square.
Mass demonstrations erupted in the United States on 25 May, after Floyd, an unarmed 46-year-old African American man, died in police custody in the US city of Minneapolis. The protests broke out after a video surfaced showing white police officer Derek Chauvin kneeling on Floyd's neck for more than eight minutes before the detainee became unresponsive.

White House Slaps Retaliatory "Foreign Mission" Restrictions On More Chinese Media Outlets
Just hours after the US announced plans to bar Chinese airlines from flying passenger routes to the US, while Reuters reminds us that the restrictions on 33 Chinese AI and security firms who aid China's security state and imprisonment of ethnic minorities will take effect on June 5.
U.S. TO DESIGNATE ADDITIONAL CHINESE MEDIA OUTLETS AS FOREIGN MISSIONS AS SOON AS THURSDAY - RTRS
Earlier this year, Beijing announced plans to kick out dozens of foreign journalists working for American media organizations, amid a broader crackdown on transparency in the aftermath of the coronavirus outbreak. They included reporters for WSJ, NYT, Bloomberg and other organizations.
In response, President Trump designated 5 Chinese state media outlets "foreign missions", meaning they much register all personnel and property with the US government.
Institutions with this designation effectively now have to comply with all rules governing foreign embassies and consulates. The outlets added in February include Xinhua News Agency, China Global Television Network (or CCTV), China Radio International, the parent company of China Daily newspaper, and the parent company of the The People's Daily newspaper.
It also means that during a diplomatic spat, the US could expel these media outlets, just like Beijing is doing to the American journalists. Some have even claimed it's likely a preamble for such a move. it's not clear how many new media outlets will be targeted.

Dangerous nano-particles contaminating many vaccines: groundbreaking study
âThe Lung,â Second Edition, 2014: âNanoparticles [are] comparable in size to subcellular structuresâŚenabling their ready incorporation into biological systems.â
A 2017 study of 44 types of 15 traditional vaccines, manufactured by leading global companies, has uncovered a very troubling and previously unreported fact:
The vaccines are heavily contaminated with a variety of nanoparticles.
Many of the particles are metals.
Weâre talking about traditional vaccines, such as HPV, flu, Swine Flu, Hepatitis B, MMR, DPT, tetanus, etc.
To begin to understand some of the destructive effects of contaminating nanoparticles in vaccines, here is the groundbreaking 2017 study:

New Quality-Control Investigations on Vaccines:
Micro- and Nanocontamination
Antonietta M Gatti and Stefano Montanari
https://medcraveonline.com/IJVV/new-quality-control-investigations-on-vaccines-microâand-nanocontamination.html
âThe analyses carried out show that in all samples checked vaccines contain non biocompatible and bio-persistent foreign bodies which are not declared by the Producers, against which the body reacts in any case. This new investigation represents a new quality control that can be adopted to assess the safety of a vaccine. Our hypothesis is that this contamination is unintentional, since it is probably due to polluted components or procedures of industrial processes (e.g. filtrations) used to produce vaccinesâŚâ
Are the study authors leaving the door open to the possibility that the contamination is intentional?
âThe quantity of foreign bodies detected and, in some cases, their unusual chemical compositions baffled us. The inorganic particles identified are neither biocompatible nor biodegradable, that means that they are biopersistent and can induce effects that can become evident either immediately close to injection time or after a certain time from administration. It is important to remember that particles (crystals and not molecules) are bodies foreign to the organism and they behave as such. More in particular, their toxicity is in some respects different from that of the chemical elements composing them, adding to that toxicityâŚthey induce an inflammatory reaction.â
âAfter being injected, those microparticles, nanoparticles and aggregates can stay around the injection site forming swellings and granulomasâŚBut they can also be carried by the blood circulation, escaping any attempt to guess what will be their final destinationâŚAs happens with all foreign bodies, particularly that small, they induce an inflammatory reaction that is chronic because most of those particles cannot be degraded. Furthermore, the protein-corona effectâŚdue to a nano-bio-interactionâŚcan produce organic/inorganic composite particles capable of stimulating the immune system in an undesirable wayâŚIt is impossible not to add that particles the size often observed in vaccines can enter cell nuclei and interact with the DNAâŚâ
âIn some cases, e.g. as occurs with Iron and some Iron alloys, they can corrode and the corrosion products exert a toxicity affecting the tissuesâŚâ

In Video: Jaysh al-Izza Trains Its New Recruits Next To Refugee Camps In Greater Idlib
Jaysh al-Izza, one of the remaining armed factions in Greater Idlib, announced on May 31 that a new batch of its special forces has completed training.
The group released a video on June 2 showing the training of its new special forces personnel. In the video, 28 fighters can be seen training with live ammo and battle tanks in a military camp located right beside refugeesâ tents in northern Idlib.
The camp is named after Abdul Baset al-Sarout, the so-called âiconâ of the Syrian opposition who was killed by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in northern Hama last year. Jaysh al-Izza has been training its militants in the camp for around a year now.
Last year, The SAA inflicted heavy losses on Jaysh al-Izza. The army captured the groupâs main strongholds in northern Hama and neutralized most of its militants.
Jaysh al-Izza faced another setback as a result of its repeated defeats when 500 of its fighters defected and joined the Turkish-backed Sham Legion.
Jamil al-Saleh, leader of Jaysh al-Izza, has been attempting to revive his group for a few months now. Nevertheless, the number of the groupâs militants is still very low, likely a few hundreds if not dozens.

Former Texas Pastor Sentenced To 24+ Years For Child Exploitation
DALLAS â A former Arlington, Texas, pastor was sentenced Monday to 293 months in federal prison for sexual exploitation of a child.
The Arlington and Fort Worth Police departments and Texas Department of Public Safety assisted with the case.
Brett Jarad Monroe, 39, former associate pastor at Heritage Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas, pleaded guilty in January to one count of sexual exploitation of a child.
HSI special agents executed a search warrant at Monroeâs residence Dec. 11, 2019. Monroe admitted to agents that he used his cellphone to create secret recordings of a minor female victim while she showered at his Arlington home. According to court documents, Monroe converted the video into still images that he saved in an online storage account.
At sentencing, an agent testified that Monroe admitted to sending, receiving, and trading child pornography online for years to fuel his pornography addiction. He also confessed to surreptitiously recording multiple other minor victims showering in his residence.
âThis individualâs actions were revolting, and the harm he caused to innocent children is devastating and forever lasting. His conduct was particularly disturbing because he was a trusted member of the community,â said Ryan L.
Spradlin, special agent in charge of HSI Dallas. âProtecting the most innocent members of our society is a top priority for HSI and we will never relent in our efforts to put monsters in disguise, like Monroe, where they belong â behind bars!â
