We use pencils in Canadian elections. So a good eraser could make the change.
All you need is a driver's license with photo. If you are not on the list, then someone to vouch for you. I came across one post somewhere, where one person who was not a Canadian citizen received an election canada mailout telling them where to vote. They said they were not a Canadian citizen and were not going to vote. But that doesn't mean other non-Canadians will be honourable.
