I'm of the opinion that the cryptic posts are comms between actors more than they are people just having fun with their creativity. The concept of numbers stations come to mind where it's clearly a coherent message intended for someone specific, but it can't be deciphered unless you have the correct decoding mechanism or have the right context for the message to make sense. It may be just people having fun, but there's a lot of continuity and consistency for certain 'characters' between threads. Who knows though, maybe some people are just really into their little pet projects and larping about aliens on the internet is their creative hobby.
