HELP THEM LEAVE THE SWAMP

If you find yourself a few steps ahead of somebody on the path, shine your light on the path so they can see their way.
They are in the swamp. They just discovered it's a swamp, and they're having a hard time getting out. Don't get mad at them for being stuck there. Help them out.
We have all stepped in the mud. It's the human condition. We are all too familiar with that clammy, sticky, sinking feeling. That heavy feeling of being unsure. Of doubting ourselves. Of questioning how we got here and whether to continue, or turn around now and find a better route. Do we cling to the familiar, or summon our courage and dare to discard false and useless beliefs?
So let's talk about how. These are people we care about! A wife or husband, parent, sibling, adult child, neighbor. It does no good to berate them for being stuck in a bad place.
Light. That's what they need. Your radiance will draw them forward.
Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
For behold, darkness shall cover the earth,
and thick darkness the peoples;
but the Lord will arise upon you,
and his glory will be seen upon you.
And nations shall come to your light,
and kings to the brightness of your rising.

You don't have to be a whole encyclopedia of current news and events. Or of timeless truths. Just show them how one thing they thought was true is actually false.
It's like unravelling a sweater. It doesn't matter where you start. Keep pulling any loose strand and it's bound to disintegrate. It's inevitable! Just find that one angle, and work it.
Who told the lie? Was it a trusted news anchor? A media personality? Can you show that they lied knowingly? That's how you open Pandora's Box!
We can perhaps forgive people who tell lies in ignorance. But someone who tells fiction, KNOWING it's not true? Someone who deliberately misleads thousands or even millions of viewers? That's a whole different story!
Telling a big lie on purpose invites us to question motivations.
So let's pick one big lie, as an exercise. Pull out that one card, and watch the whole house of cards collapse!
Why does (insert their favorite media: Fox News, MSNBC, NPR, etc.) tell us Joe Biden is winning an election? The few times Joe emerged from the basement, his rallies were like a ghost town. There is no enthusiasm at all for a Biden presidency. Contrast with President Trump's rallies. So much energy! Flash mobs assembled on short notice. A sea of red hats everywhere. Amazing energy! A 96 mile parade of "Trump cars" in Arizona. Hundreds of thousands who couldn't get into the venue, livestreaming each event!
Why does MSM want us to believe Joe Biden is good for America? Why does MSM ignore a mountain of evidence on the Biden Crime Family's ties to the Chinese Communist Party? [2] Wouldn't a presidency blackmailed and controlled by China be THE most newsworthy headline? But we don't see it. MSM won't cover it.
So think about it! Why would the Big Six media empires want Americans to cringe at the idea of more liberty? To apologize for our values? To kow-tow to Chinese overlords? To relinquish our freedoms in favor of a dystopian nightmare? To raise taxes and wreck the economy, in a return to the squalor and hopelessness of the Obama years?
You see how it's done? Pick your own example, something you are passionate about. Then keep tugging at that loose yarn.
Together, we expose the lies. Together, we kindle one another's light. Together, we shall illuminate the path out of the swamp!
