Testing usability and news navigation on abcu8.co. Depending on the news source, the navigation is not uniform. Users would expect consistency in the way navigation works.
Example 1:
Selected Real News, OANN from the menu.
CATEGORY OANN appears with list of OANN articles: https://abcu8.co/category/real-news/oann/
None of them shows a link to the OANN source.
Click an OANN article headline and the list of OANN articles is replaced with the single OANN article: https://abcu8.co/2020/10/12/senate-republicans-will-go-with-trump-on-coronavirus-stimulus-white-house-spokeswoman/ , providing no additional info compared with the OANN category link https://abcu8.co/category/real-news/oann/
Does not provide a way to navigate to the OANN source website.
Example 2:
George News category works different from OANN category.
https://abcu8.co/category/real-news/george-news/
A link is provided to navigate to the source article. Pic 2 article came by way of George News, but the bottom link takes you that article on a 3rd website, NYPost, or Breitbart, or whreever George got the news from. So George is also an 3rd-party aggregator of RSS-published news.
Headline link navigates to abcu8 in same tab: https://abcu8.co/2020/10/12/joe-biden-reportedly-would-consider-gov-cuomo-for-attorney-general-georgenews/
Source article link at bottom opens new tab: https://nypost.com/2020/10/12/biden-reportedly-would-consider-cuomo-for-attorney-general/ This navigation behavior is expected and good.
But although the category is labelled George News, neither link takes you to George News.
