Anon said Jim said the new admin had to restart the apache server(s) and then repropagate the content to the web cache.
That would sort of fit the symptoms don't you think? I don't see why the proxy would dump all the content and have to start fresh though. Unless the time-to-live data on the cached items is all changed. What a mess.
