Thinking of maybe doing a short promo video using your text. Do you want this done, or are there more important things right now? I don't have a clear vision of what kind of graphics it would have or what would really attract the kinds of people we want to recruit.

Hi Ninja, James, Blueeyes, Irmina, frens

<3

Good haircut.

Good lighting.

Audio is great. (But need to balance audio on clips vs. voice, clip was much louder than your mic.)

It is good to gesture as you speak - you are doing that perfectly! It brings emphasis to the voice. Good job!

Best work happens when challenged, I think. Throw a lot of inputs at it and creativity comes when different ideas get juxtaposed. Interaction produces creativity.

> Do you think making ads only or asking some people directly?

My guess is all the above. @babyfist has so many contacts on Tw and it's obvious that he's spending time on video with many people to find out who does what, and how well it plays. Keep throwing baited fish hooks out there in the water and some of them will connect. My philosophy is both quantity and quality. I don't mind making quite a few pieces of content knowing that some of them will be discarded when they don't work. As long as this produces a subset that is usable. If everything had to be perfect on first try, we wouldn't get very far.

>>5122

The audio level on Yesterday's News Today clip was way higher than your mic. Do you need me to remaster it about 5 dB lower or can you automate the audio level on your end when that clip plays? You shouldn't have to tinker with it manually when you are concentrating on being on video.

The mic volume was perfect, just in the middle of my audio range where most videos sit. When the stinger came on, it was twice as loud. Had to mash the audio down button couple of times. Didn't quite hurt my ears but was an uncomfortably loud surprise.

I'll remaster with lower dB.

Rethinking -

Need to make more observations on audio levels before changing anything. Left my audio on level 5 of 10 after the livestream. Did I turn it down to 5 during the stinger? If so, the stinger is correct and the mic is too low.

So, will focus on measuring audio levels of next livestream and one option is that we bring your mic up just a bit.

The audio tracks I put on there are usually set at 1 dB below red. Maximum it can be without clipping. Just an old habit. I use Audacity to edit audio.

I rechecked the audio on

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dV_rDc3cqdg

When you are speaking, my playback level is set to about 6-7 (of 10) and it's not very loud.

When the stinger came on, I had to lower the volume to 3.

The mic could use a little higher gain maybe, but the clip is WAY too loud.

I will remaster it down 3dB and down 5dB then we can test both.

The other video clips may need similar adjustment.

Anons who were listening in โ€“ does this match what you observed?

Uploaded ONE remastered Yesterday's News Today intro clip with audio level reduced to about 10% of what it was. Tested with headphones at the same setting that was good for your mic and POTUS' news conference, and this seems to be about right.

It's on the mega drive.

Caught some portions of the Fake News Exposed livestream and the presentation was good (great!) but didn't catch any of our video clips. Will check them if the vid is uploaded later.

I just examined the entire Obamagate collection of 1,891 memes and did not find a single one marked with MAGA1776.com.

I did rename half a dozen nsfw* because of bad language, and removed watermarks from a dozen or so.

Visual memory says MAGA1776.COM memes are white square with a black outline around text that flowed around a couple of images.

And Voila! they are tagged Corruption Is treason and they are in the Treason folder.

Some date back as far as Sept. 2018.

Yeah, I always thought it was sort of weird that somebody prepared this entire set of images with text, that were pretty good. But we should be a little moar suspicious when things are too facile.

I think I may have nailed them all. Don't need to ask Discord unless you just want to. Visual memory located them.

>Get rid of the swivel chair.

-The swivel was mildly disconcerting (TV anchors always sit still), but your moving around was quite understandable. You should be comfy.

-Don't touch your face when presenting. Just resist the urge like hell.

-I repeat - gesturing for emphasis as you speak is very, very good technique. It's natural for you, so just keep doing it. I'd rather you keep allowing yourself to move freely and naturally (as you are doing!) than try to be rigid in the chair. Tell the swivel-criticizer to F.O., kek.

Yeah let them have muh job. They can have double my pay too. I am NOT a videofag, I don't even have a TV. (Although admittedly have seen plenty of TV in the past.) Kek. Sort of a utility player, just fill in wherever needed.

>>5144

> Feels very slow without audio.

OK I'll look for some kind of audio.

I could make the slides move quicker too? Been using 7 seconds for most scenes. No idea how long it takes normal folks to absorb text on a video.

On this below, need to restudy in the AM, when not stoned, kek. It should be doable.

> Longer Transition / Stinger should start "black screen" < 1 second with low and raising audio before Video starts reaching "max" volume over ~1 second. SAME AT END(in reverse.). This will allow the Crossfade/Transition in/out to not clip any video or audio while clearly showing its a transition.

  • Intros

  • Outros

> Short Transitions need smooth audio for each clip. Same Black and Fading Audio

If I may restate to see if I understand? Basically you need 1 second black-to-video and silent-to-audio at the front (and the reverse at the back) end of each clip.

I think I can envision how to do that. May have to lengthen each by 1 sec at the start, 1 sec at the end, and tinker with 1st and last frames to make them fade in and out to the added 1 sec.

Will re-look in the A.M.

Recalled 2 more things while laying in bed.

  1. When talking about an article and showing it on a screenshare, the way you moved the cursor around to highlight phrases & stuff, was EXCELLENT. To me it felt very smooth, rapid, natural, intuitive, comfy. Maybe just matches the way I scan info, IDK. By comparison, have seen other people's screenshare where they would jerk the cursor around all over the place in a distracting manner. You're just being you, and it's natural and comfy.

  1. Can you get an ad-blocker? It's uncool to display (possibly personalized) ads that The Guardian inserted into the web page you are displaying. (It was some kind of allergy medication IIRC!) The danger is that it might reveal too much personal info about you that you might prefer not to share. Also it could be a bit distracting.

On Firefox I can recommend AdBlock Plus. Never see hardly any ads ever. For other browsers IDK.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQqEzyD6aik MINOR KEY VERY BORING NOT GOING ANYWHERE MELODICALLY

That's as far as I got.

I've been searching royalty-free music & royalty-free videos clips for a dozen days now and there's a reason they are royalty-free. Because somebody couldn't sell their music or video, so they publish it free hoping to compile a nice portfolio that will help them get a paying gig.

But we might get lucky. It's not all bad or weird or too-far-out.

So far the best one, to my ear, was the "upbeat" guitar thing.

I just need like 24 seconds of music and it has to either be so boring that it's amenable to a fade-out at the end without insulting the music, or actually have a phrase of that length ending in a cadence.

I have also done some tempo changes on music that wasn't quite the right length to make it fit, or made some musical loops carefully snipped at the exact right spot. We have our ways, kek.

Thank you for any help with this project!

Heard whole Jim interview less a few minutes to cook the burgers. Thought it went well. It was very long. Long time to sit in that chair You didn't just say, but actually demonstrated, how ABCU likes to deal in facts and sources.

One thing I especially like is you have a good repertoire of perfect responses for obnoxious people. "Don't like PND's banner? Then go ask them about it. I don't run it." (Was that actually aflb in the chat?)

Your audio quality was not as good as Jim's, and your volume was lower than Jim's. It was understandable but lower. Except for "Sierra Alpha Foxtrox Echo", kek. Jim really could not catch the consonants (I hardly could either, because babyfist's mic had not-so-great frequency response at the high end).

I have had huge organic gardens during past times at various different sites and we preserved a lot of home grown veggies.

When we moved here (I can't say when), gardening outdoors was not an option. So I grew basil, spinach, lettuce, parsley, green onions, pansies, garlic, etc. in flower pots indoors and they did great that first year, but then we had a terrible plague of little flies. I won't use any kind of pesticides, and my organic controls didn't work very well, so I was killing 500 gnats a day with a towel, and that was not fun and it was not right either. So we abandoned the indoor gardening for now. Right now I am not gardening and really miss it.

Yeah the home made pesto was to die for.

Raised beds & vertical gardening.

Make those tomatoes climb a trellis. Train them every day by selecting the leader and pinching back the others, instead of letting them sprawl. Twist them around the vertical strings and they will climb. You get more fruit, the fruit ripens better because it's not in shade, and you can see the tomatoes.

Dense dense gardens. Disregard everything on the back of the seed package about rows and distances.

Make your own compost. Lots and lots of compost. Can't have too much. If there are horses & cattle & chickens in the area, get some real manure and mix in leaves or grass clippings. Turn the compost pile with a fork every day or two while it is hot. Human urine is perfectly safe to use on a compost pile too - no disease transmission risk.

Books:

Square Foot Gardening - the book's a bit pedantic but the technique is sound.

Rodale Organic Gardening

Rodale Encyclopedia of Organic Gardening

You can also grow a lot in redwood planters, if you don't let them dry out too much.

Potatoes are surprisingly easy to grow.

Snow peas are amazingly productive in the right climate. Beans and peppers, of course you know how easy they are to grow.

Squirrels thoughโ€ฆ. Once they discovered those potatoes, they dug up and ate the entire crop in 1 night. Arrrrrgh! Chickenwire fences were totally inefective against squirrels and rodents. Went to 1/2" hardware cloth wrappings around all the gardens and buried to prevent tunneling up under the raised beds, and that still did not stop determined predators. But we ate wellโ€ฆ

Sigh. Those were the days.

Birds eat cilantro. Cilantro reproduces itself very well from its own seeds. If you can keep birds out with bird netting or something, it's a winner (if you like cilantro).

Well while you were away I learned how to make videos. Got an open source video app OpenShot and started making short vids (<2 min.) @babyfist is starting to use some of them on the abcu broadcasts. We're still testing crossfade timing & such.

If that interests you, it's a fun skill to learn.

You have memeskill and write skill and thought skill โ€“ so you can do just about anything that pleases you, time permitting.

Checking my notes.

The Publisher vs. Platform topic needs addressed.

A platform is equivalent to a piece of paper. Anyone can write on it (8kun) and the writers are responsible for what they write, not the platform owner.

A platform becomes a publisher when they start editorializing content. For example by choosing what is allowed and what isn't. Either manually or via algorithm.

Simple concept but many court decisions refining the details. Communications Decency Act may be up for overhaul.

Been thinking about simply teaching people basic civic things they don't know. 1st amendment, why we honor the flag, 3 branches of government and their functions, things on American history (it was NEVER an interest of mine not even slightly, but now I see it differently).

Law & Order, why we need it, why it's a LOCAL respnsibility before it's a federal responsibility.

The HCQ and Mask thing seems to be behind us sort of. The Gen Pop is still really scared b/c MSM tells them to be scared.

China China China.

Anything that POTUS tweets in ALL CAPS.

Does that give you any ideas?

What do you perceive as focus areas right now from your vantage point?

Is a reporter a person who talks on video (i.e. a presenter who presents something we write for them)?

Yep. We Laughing_Men_gen1 all envision what abcu could grow into. That's why recruitment vids looked like a next priority - to make it grow. It's interesting to see more people connecting with /abcu/ from twitter or discord than from QR. (My guess re: quantity).

> What does the current generation(s) NEED to know that they have not learned about civics?

IDK, but LOOK what they're being taught in school. That America is an wicked place that needs to be destroyed. That white males are evil because they are white males, and for no other reason. That little children should be taught sexual activities that I would even blush to think about and never even heard of until 5-10 years ago. & I'm certainly not a prude.

They are DEEPLY BRAINWASHED.

Example: within spouseanon's extended family and mine, almost all the younger folks that are of an age where they could be married and raising children, are deciding not to reproduce - even the married ones. And almost all their nuclear families contain one individual who decided to repudiate their birth sex and play with being something else.

I think the WORK ETHIC is also very much weakened in many, as a result of immersion in a satanic culture that teaches them to expect instant gratification. America used to have a tremendous work ethic where people understood that perseverance and hard work would bring rewards. Now they believe being a victim and suppressing those you envy is how you get rewards.

I could go on. You get the point tho.

Seems to me that people who want to do these roles will either be interns hoping to gain experience that leads to a job, or people who actually want it to be a paying job with abcu the employer.

Since ABCU is not in a position to pay any "employees" - we are all doing this out of love and commitment at this point - then traditional recruitment methods like help wanted ads or headhunters cannot be used. We need to attract people who feel like we do (like, on fire with wanting to fix what's wrong with our country), who are available to some degree of time commitment. That means young people, retired people, people with disability income, rich people, self employed part time people, folks who don't need to earn money for the time they spent doing ABCU stuff.

Or am I off base thinking this way.

Anything financial at this early stage would totally change the character here while we're still nurturing its culture and trying to figure out who we are as a collective.
