It's an axiom of management that came into my head while taking a walk. Not that I'm managing anyone or anything but myself here!

Two dimensions: capable and willing

Team members may be:

  • incapable and unwilling

  • capable and unwilling

  • incapable and willing

  • capable and willing

The goal is to get all team members to the capable & willing stage. Which means spending time coaching those who are incapable and willing. And motivating those who are capable and unwilling.

I think there are a lot of anons (speaking of digital warriors in general, on all platforms) who are willing, but incapable โ€“ because they don't know how to proceed, they have some skills but are afraid to use them, they don't know how to set their intention firmly on a goal and then pursue that goal relentlessly, etc.

I never was a manager, but they did send me to some management classes and I was a team leader for a substantial part of my career. My personal leadership style was to lead by example and display a lot of enthusiasm!

As a self-directed writer, you are one of the think-tank elite who has conquered both quadrants, both capable and willing. Because you can see what is ahead of us, and how to advance the cause!

Welcome fren! Your post went through.

Yes the captcha system can be very annoying. Basically if at first you don't succeed, try, try again! (That's what I do.)

Just be glad the site no longer requires captcha-per-post, or 8-character captchas, as we had to endure in the distant past.

Welcome, and let us know what you'd like to do! We are GLAD you are here!

Well done! Great article and very timely.

It was amazing that this boiled into a big deal on social media last night, even though explanations such as the one you described address the reasoning behind it.

Thank you!

Wow! That is rather outrageous (love it!!!) and in-your-face! The barbed wire is a nice touch. For someone who's gotten every t-shirt snagged and ripped on barbed wire, it's extra poignant.

The outline calls for 2 more in the Missions of Light Series.

I sort of know how to write #6

but am lurking on #5

Mission 5. Pray/Encourage. Many in this movement are people of faith. "Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it." I Cor. 12:27 Recognizing that some are called as teachers, healers, administrators, givers, etc., those who select this mission encourage and support other warriors.

Mission 6. Local Politics. Some warriors exert their influence in the local sphere. They attend town or city council meetings, get a role in the homeowner's association, voice their opinions to the planning board, or run for a position on the school board. They write letters to the editor or publish a neighborhood newsletter. Through participation in public life, they establish liaisons with other patriots. While serving their community they become an advocate for local citizens. For some, a local beginning precedes their rise into state or national politics.

>ruthless self-examination that could overturn their beliefs

Even autists that do this and plunge into the deep end will swim back to the shallow end to regain their bearings from time to time.

Normal people do not willingly turn their world upside down, but these are not normal times and we are not normal people!

Well >>6964 is not my work, I'm just relaying a researcher's lengthy collection of timeline-organized notes. It appears the collection is mostly quotes.

Made the edits you pointed out - THANK YOU! I got tired and did not really polish the article as much as it needs polished.

I stopped putting a copy into pastebin.

Just using flat text editor (like notepad) with zero formatting other than line breaks.

In order to write I have to know which editor I'm going to use, how it's going to be formatted, and the destination for the text. Otherwise I get hung up in formatting and can't write.

So my personal decision was just to keep it ultra simple and get that roadblock out of the way.

If I was writing in wordpress I'd use quite a bit of styling like block quotes, bullets, headings, bold, etc. to make the piece more visually interesting.
