When connecting to 8kun via Tor, there will be a few differences:

1. URLs will contain the onion link

2. All users will have Userid 000000

3. Won't be able to post any images. MP4 will work though. Youtube embeds will work too.

4. Tor users are required to do a Captcha more often (I think every 6 posts?)

Rebooted modem here. Tried both servers on two devices with and without VPN. Tried NYC VPN endnode.

Same result each time - hexchat resolves the onion link, then sends packets to the socks interface, and fails to establish a connection.

I'm stumped.

I'm on. C'mon guys, it was not very difficult to select an IRC client (I already had Hexchat installed), type in the server's address/port#, fill in the Autojoin tab with #General, and CONNECT.

That's basically how easy it was.
