The misadventures of a timid girl with super-human strength in a school for idiots and delinquents.
Don't know if you guys know already but the translation is really far behind due to the first group not continuing after the first two chapters and then going inactive. The raws are at chapter 17 right now so we can at least expect English chapters to come out at the accelerated pace that they have.
Here's some previews for what's to come.
The first group did like i said. The current one seems serious about updating. They released chapter 3 around February 18th of this year and 4 a week later. I think that's going to be their release pattern, a mid month release and one at the end.
That first group released ch.1 and 2 on January 1st or 2nd 2017 and they've stopped translating altogether a month later. It was unclear if they were going to continue and because this manga isn't super popular no one picked it back up again for a year.

He was most active on Drawr from 2008 to 2011 and from then used multiple accounts on different sites. I can't find any hentai pseudonyms using his alt names. He seems to be quite good at drawing the naked body and his style would complement the format well but i don't think he has drawn any so far.
>One girl fucks another girl stealing her from you
<Implying that (you) were a part of the story.
This retarded logic also applies to straight romances too, faggot.
Is your brain functioning properly?
Not being able to distinguish between reality and fantasy/fiction is a symptom of schizophrenia.
>I watch anime for cute girls being pure and not slutty.
<Implying straight romances don't have slutty characters
<Doesn't even acknowledge that most yuri have innocent-shy characters
>them not being pure is why I call it NTR.
NTR is cheating/cuckolding, you dumb faggot.
NTR is an impure act, but not all impure acts are NTR.
You even fail at basic logic.
It's fine if you hate yuri. Hate it as much as you want. The big problem here is that you sperg a lot and cause thread derailments. I'm pretty sure the guy fucking with you in the thread you made wasn't a yuri-fag, he's probably just a troll that sees you as an easy target due to how easily triggered you get.
Hello /animu/. I've finally decided to practice the little japanese I've learned on an actual manga. And figured that an ongoing series would make for an interesting experience. So I'll be translating Torako and posting it here page by page (don't rush me! This thing is hard). And when the"official" translation comes out I'll be able to compare it to mine!
Here's how the format I'll go for this:
page
Panel
Any kanji and words of notice will be dissected first
>my final interpretation will come in greentext
<out-of-bubble text will be in faggottext
An attempt at a literal and awkward translation comes in normal text just below, if I find it necessary
Of course it'll follow the reading sequence up->down, right->left
I won't bother with onomatopoeias, I'm more interested in translating phrases.
And here we go!

If anyone is interested in the japanese translating part of that, I think I figured what ワシら means, but I still don't know why it's written half in katakana and half in hiragana.
わしら (all hiragana) means "we". So the translation doesn't change at all in the end. But why on earth write it with two different alphabets?
The break is between two parts of words rather than arbitrarily being in the middle of a word (ワシ meaning I, and ら being a pluralising suffix). Perhaps the katakana is meant as an emphasis akin to italics. There's another context I've seen in manga where hiragana and katakana may be combined, and it's when words/sfx written in one kana have small vowels written in the other type of kana to elongate the vowel sound (or to modify the vowel to make nonstandard sounds like "di").
The weirdest thing, really, is the use of "washi" in particular to mean "I", because it's old men who say that, not little girls.

Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’re fucking dead, nigger.-desu"

>What the hell, where did I see those expressions before? I can't remember.

That's it for volume one everybody!
Quite a ride. I get the feeling Nujima wish he could turn this into a battle shounen with cute high school tomboys.
Thank you translator anon! Torako has brightened up my days.
>TN: "Tora" means both tiger and drunkard
I've been wondering for a while if it will turn out that she is a tiger spirit, even her hair is a little catlike. At the same time I can't see the author taking her backstory seriously.
I found the missing 3 chapters
Not that it was any difficult, but I did hatd to get them from sketchy sites for raw manga, instead of a clean torrent.
I was under the impression that these chapters weren't published, since they didn't come with the torrents I found, and that maybe they had been released online due to it's magazine being cancelled. But taking from Nujima's twitter, they were indeed published on that magazine's last issue.
He did intend to wrap it up in just 3 chapters, as you're gonna see in the next few days (weeks? it's 3 whole chapters after all)
Get excited, 'cause it's gonna get weird
Yep, her design fits her name, her hair even has black stripes. Tora also means "strength".
Takano also has a little something to it. It's made with the kanji for "falconry" (but it's read differently when saying it like that), falcon+plains. Turns out the same kanji for plains also means "peasant" (guess peasants lived in the plains in old Japan?) which fit's her character being poor
This won't be good for the manga.
Dorohedoro suffered from this as well, when the magazine that publishes it decided to close shop. The mangaka was initially rushed to end the series, but then they decided to let her do as she pleases.
This fucked up her schedules, and consequently fucked up her manga. Dorohedoro's ending was pretty lackluster, tbh. It isn't translated yet, but you can find it on LHscans.

It's not clear they contacted Mashiro. Suzume's line on the third pannel literally translates to "it is said he was outside the country…", but it made for a weird translation. And besides how else would they know?
I'm also looking into the fuzzy-letters issue. Might have been some other fuckery on my part.
Zusume is wearing a t-shirt now. Probably to cover up that xbox hueg scar she now has in her side. Man, this manga is pioneering in side-screen details. Everything can sorta be seen on the sides before it actually comes into play. It's really cool.

LATE ANCHOR POST
If you are new to the thread, check this out first
Torako, Anmari Kowashicha Dame da yo has been on scanlation hiatus since chapter 10, and while the group responsible for it said they plan on picking it up again in the future, I just couldn't wait for them. Above is my attempt at a translation, and below I'm linking the first page of each chapter for easy referencing/searching.

Boobs and hugs, what a great way to end it. Thank you so much for your hard work in bringing a closure to the story of Torako, the world's strongest, cutest girl.
Seriously, those boobs look fucking amazing.
>Tfw you'll never tame Torako's Drunk Tiger form and give her ear scratches and bellyrubs, followed by breastplay
It would be great to see a proper typesetting of it, but I think one of those anons showed up and mentioned that since this has been picked up by another group there was little incentive to do it. That's fine by me, I would like to see it done, but I don't mind if it stays in the current format either.
In fact, what concerns me the most is proofreading. English is my second language, and there are lines I wrote that, after reviewing, made me cringe a little, like "man I could have worded this better".
Thank you for your work anon! Props to the author for pulling a nice ending (though it wasn't necessary after all) out of his ass. That's the mark of an artist who cares, going the extra mile for your fans and characters when you think life has fucked you.
I was hoping for sexy loli chest and midriff as well. I think >>48251 is right, if he didn't lewd Suzume in what could have been the final chapter then he'll never lewd her more than he did here.
So the comic that picked up Torako had a page up, with some brief intro of the characters. The interesting thing is that this is the first time Enma and Suzume had their names written in kanji, and Bullet (Rotor/vibrator) seems to have had a name change for some reason. Usually a character's name's kanji give clues of its personality, motif, etc. I've translated the bios, and added my interpretation of the kanji in greentext
(虎子)Torako: A super strong but ultra shy and ultra fainthearted girl. She wants to make friends, but is too clumsy
>(虎) Tora means tiger, 子 Ko means child
(猿間) Enma: Torako's classmate. Loudmouth delinquent
>猿 En: means monkey 間 means space, room or time
(兎洞) Uzou: Torako's classmate. A little slutty
>兎 Usagi means rabbit, 洞 Dou means hole or cave
(鷹野) Takano: Delinquent group leader
>Means falconry, with 鷹Taka meaning falcon, and 野 No meaning plains, peasant, rustic
(雀森) Suzume: Pipsqueak delinquent
>雀 Suzume means sparrow, talkative person, knowledgeable person, 森, Mori means forrest

BAD NEWS EVERYONE
While I'm still waiting for raw scans of the "new" volume, we already have some preview pages, including the index. And guess what it shows? Chapters 11 through 19 (it doesn't mention chapter 20, weird), with the first few pages of chapter 11 already being what we saw.
This means the new book seems to be a reprinting of the last chapters. While there's still a faint hope he retconed chapters 18, 19, 20 (considering the fact 20 isn't listed in that index) and that it could still be an ongoing series, I wouldn't hold my breath for it.
Will still download those raws when they come out to check myself, and keep the thread updated.
GOOD NEWS EVERYONE
There is another chapter in the new book. Get ready for onsen chapter, anons.
Amen to that bro. We might see more from Torako in the future
Also I couldn't hold myself and bought a digital copy. Thanks to my devalued currency and taxes it costed as much as a book rather than a comic. All for one chapter (the rest of the book is just what we saw, only this one chapter is new). Still, felt good to support the author. Probably won't do it again in the future.
