Boot to usb in READ only, keep all actual cached data in memory - not on hdd or flash drive.
If you need to save data, use a second flash drive.
The computer is useless that way. No tracks.
I use BACKTRACK bootable usb for many things. It works on the library computer - the NETWORK traffic goes to the PC, but the PC has no record of any data!
When you are on a pc that has no tracks, you should use tor for network. Then you got it covered.
No network data is trackable and no hardware data is available.
