I kinda consider most of these so called occultists to just be lost souls, not sure what their intentions are personally, but i went down that path years ago and humored it all but in the end i realized it was all bullshit.
thats what i was getting at with the wander in the wilderness part, that's in the bible a lot and i think it's a metaphor for living in a shitty existence of darkness and filth and drugs and alcohol and blah, but then hitting rock bottom and begging god for help.
i been to enough AA meetings to hear hundreds of people talk about how they used to only pray when they were near death from almost OD'ing or getting alcohol poisoning. so point im trying to make is eventually the dark will become so unbearable you will soon seek the light, hopefully at least. and god is all about redemption and second chances if you actually want them. some people however are beyond repair. i also think thats what q was referring to when he said 4-6 % are eternally brainwashed (paraphrasing a bit)
