Mount Hermon was where the "watchers" descended and were cursed by God.
"Heiser notes that the word “Hermon” (kh-r-m) in Hebrew means “cursed.” According to I Enoch it got its name because here is where Yahweh cursed the Watchers for their rebellion. But this is also the word used for the Hebrew practice of Holy War (usually transliterated herem). It’s usually translated “ban” and signifies consecrating something to Yahweh as a sacrifice (that is, for destruction)."
