This is what direct remote/third eye viewing taught me to look for… I even had to read many many translations to find the right translations to a myriad of religious texts.. but there is was written in no uncertain terms…
Here is the key to everything.
Can you find the patience to wait until the dust settles and the water ecomes clear?
-
Do you have the patience to wait till your mud settles and the water becomes clear?
-
Who can make the muddy water clear?
Let it be still, and it will gradually become clear.
-
Who can clear muddiness and lighten up darkness?
One who in the stillness and the silence clears and illumines itself.
Tao Te Ching verse 15
-
In cleansing your enigmatic mirror of the dark,
Can you make it spotless?
Tao Te Ching verse 10
Odes of Solomon
ODE 13.
A strange little Ode.
1 Behold! the Lord is our mirror: open the eyes and see them in Him: and learn the manner of your face: 2 And tell forth praise to His spirit: and wipe off the filth from your face: and love His holiness, and clothe yourselves therewith: 3 And be without stain at all times before Him. Hallelujah.

This body is the Bodhi-tree,
The soul is like a mirror bright;
Take heed to keep it always clean,
And let no dust collect on it. Shen-hsiu
-
There is a bright pearl within me,
Buried for a long time under dust.
Today, the dust is gone and the light radiates,
Shining through all the mountains and rivers.
Master Yueh of Ch'a-ling

“Remember, the eternal mirror under discussion now has a time of being polished, and [a time] after being polished, but it is wholly the eternal mirror. This being so, when we are polishing, we are polishing the eternal mirror in its entirety… This is neither polishing the self nor the self polishing; it is polishing the eternal mirror.”
~Dogen, Shobogenzo, Kokyo

Even as a mirror stained by dust
Shines brilliantly when it has been cleansed,
So the embodied one, on seeing the nature of the Soul,
Becomes unitary, his end attained, from sorrow freed.
When with the nature of the self, as with a lamp,
A practicer of yoga beholds here the nature of Brahman,
Unborn, steadfast, from every nature free–
By knowing God, one is released from all fetters!
Svetasvatara Upanishad

"Dear friend, your heart is a polished mirror. You must wipe it clean of the veil of dust that has gathered upon it, because it is destined to reflect the light of divine secrets." -al-Ghazzal
-
"Everyone sees the Unseen in proportion to the clarity of his heart, and that depends upon how much he has polished it. Whoever has polished it more sees more–more Unseen forms become manifest to him." -Rumi
-
"If you find the mirror of the heart dull, the rust has not been cleared from its face." - Rumi quotes
-
Do you not know why your mirror does not reflect?Because the rust has not been removed from its face.
