OK, in this position, white can castle king side. This is done by moving the king 2 squares to the right and then moving the rook 2 squares to the left. Only time you can move 2 pieces on the same move. Can do it queen side too, only the rook moves 3 squares to the right. Can only castle if all intervening pieces between king and rook are cleared out of the way. And even in the position shown, you can not castle if either the king or rook has already been moved. OR if an enemy piece is "covering" one of the squares the king must traverse OR if the king is in check (immediately threatened by an enemy piece). Do not confuse the rook with "castle" even though it has a castle turret on it. Castling implies retreating into a castle for safety. So….in our context, castle or castling would indicate someone(s) fleeing to a safer position.
Also, in chess notation, castling is written 0-0 for king side castling and 0-0-0 for queen side. So if Q indicates something with circles, "possibly" he could be indicating such.
