There are 2 reasons for discussing your topic, the first valid, and the second, as Q said, invalid.
One, is the possibility someone tries to cover up their shit with a propaganda campaign to the effect there are UFOs. There has been evidence of just such a discussion. An example would be, pedophilia is about to be exposed and suddenly a bunch of lasers burn down Boise, and an ex-military person says it was aliens. Or some person simply reveals government "files" on aliens. Everybody goes nuts, and America forgets about the pedophiles.
This above scenario could happen. We need to be on guard against a bullshit UFO story getting released to distract America from real crimes that are being exposed.
