The good news is the 100 years has likely ended. The bad news is the Enemy used that time not to destroy the Church – he knew he couldn't do that – but to plant the seeds whereby the Church just might destroy itself. By infiltrating it with pedophile priests, tempting bishops open rebellion (German bishops, I'm looking at you), and perhaps even placing one of his servants in the Chair of Peter he has laid the groundwork so that, perversely, it is the end of his power and the revelation of his work that will do the most damage.
