Arisaig Country House Hotel was once a Relais & Chataeux, frequented by all sorts of top knobs i.e. premiere of Japan, Sante Fe oil baron, Egyptian oil baron, Dame, etc. Is no longer exclusive. Owners died, descendants sold it - the owners were ancient, so I'm not sure there's anything suspicious there. It was used during WWII for military training. When I worked there, the gardener found an old hand grenade. Whole place was evacuated. The majority of the acres upon acres of land there is owned by some wealthy French dude. Locals hate that. That's their idyllic ancestral home owned by the elite. Dig!
