Respectfully, this is incorrect. A memes power is derived from repetition with slight alteration. It reinforces pathways while evolving the method into something palatable while making the viewer feel like they are in on it because they saw a previous iteration.
Iterations that improve on the last thrive, those that don't die. Think about the memes you best remember. They were all repetition, alteration, parody of a similar design. One does not simply blank into blank.
