According to one theory, the Yellow Brick Road in the Wizard of Oz represents the gold standard, and the silver slippers (ruby in the 1939 film version) represent the Silverite sixteen to one silver ratio (dancing down the road).

Hopefully Q is talking about the end of the Federal Reserve money out of thin air system and a return to asset based currency, possibly gold based.
