EXACTLY! Christ represents the composite hero of the West - the Truthful individual who acts for and on the Truth.
No matter one’s personal theology, the Christ story has much to offer us today as a model of how an individual can act willfully to reduce evil in the world.
Christ was born an outlaw, spoke truth to power, and was sentenced to death for insurrection. His teachings emphasized kindness, good works, voluntary association, revealing the truth by exposing falsehood, and the use of one's free will to reject not only sinful temptations, but also conscription to harm others.
While Christ is most often recognized as a religious figure, he should also be remembered as an out spoken critic of the "authorities", the priestly caste who controlled the temple (Pharisees), wrote and interpreted the law (scribes), and the economic system (money changers) that robbed and oppressed the people.
Doesn't this 2000 year old story sound a lot like what we, ANONS, are striving for today?
