Q needs to address an error. He claimed that SpaceX is dependent on "WW subsidies". This is a meme with no truth to it. SpaceX income sources are known - COTS contracts, commercial launches, and private funding rounds. There are no subsidies, nor have they ever needed a subsidy.

 

On a related subject, it is very interesting that last night's Iridium launch executed a reentry burn despite being expended; however, it did not have landing legs, so less likely it could have been secretly diverted.

Ok, let's say the electric car rebate (Tesla's single major "subsidy") was legislated into existence (2009) in exchange for Musk to provide immature rocket tech (not launched until 2010). This also requires Musk to be personally involved, as he is the link between the companies.

It seems unlikely.
