Note to the lurking newsfags:
Yes, we know you're here, all excited about the "crazy internet conspiracy theory" and "mysterious character known only as Q" that's going to dominate Christmas dinner conversation in a significant number of American households. You're going to dismiss this effort, distracted by the dross, and likely miss the lede: damaging and damning connections and evidence of collusion, corruption and conspiracy are being uncovered and cataloged by an anonymous crowdsourced band of multidisciplined "autists", apparently led by some official hiding behind the plausible deniability of the medium. THAT'S the story that will be remembered, here. Here, let me write the hook:
"Plastered with irreverent memes, obscene namecalling, and its own unique internet culture, the sudden fascination with the 8chan board known as "Calm Before The Storm" or CBTS features everything from lurid rumors of Pizzagate-style organized child exploitation to discussions of Satanic cults to the evils of international banking institutions. But behind the shocking discussions that take place between the "breadcrumbs" the enigmatic figure known only as "Q" - a kind of electronic Scarlet Pimpernel - drops in Socratic form every few days lies a highly-talented and completely anonymous band of "autists" who display an ingenious collective talent for ferreting out and compiling information from a wide array of sources. If the mysterious Q has done nothing else, he (or she) has effectively crowdsourced conspiracy theories and motivated an army of dedicated followers to build a case against a number of prominent politicians and political figures suspected of corruption."
There. Hard work is done. You can fill in the rest.
